Isn't that the truth? The DLR boards is a smaller community, and dare I say, gentler group.
As someone who has switched back and forth between the WDW and DL boards here, I have to say that it can be a jarring experience. Coming here after a few years hanging around the WDW boards, reading the posts feels like eating pink cotton candy until you want to puke.
Then you get into the mellow and helpful vibe here. After a while, the WDW boards starts to look like a noisy collection of angry, judgmental maniacs.
I would also note that podcast listeners know that Pete Werner (the Walt Disney of the Dreams Unlimited Empire) loves the DISboards like a child, but sometimes regrets ever starting this community because some people abuse it so badly. Thankfully, you find almost none of that on the main DL board, and with the vigilant and diligent moderators on the task, I'm sure it will stay that way even the number of posters grows.
With due respect to the OP, I will add my endorsement for the status quo.
