I have 3 Wide mouth Dr. Browns bottles and one narrow one. They didnt seem to leak at first, but now they all will leak milk from the bottom side of the ring and I cant figure out why. Has anyone else had a problem with them leaking and what have you done to fix it (if possible)?

I have the narrow ones and have been using them for 2 years straight and have not had any problems with any leaking. I would try and buy a replacement ring and see if that helps maybe you got a bad ring to begin with.

It's been awhile since I've used Dr. Browns, but GOSH I loved those bottles!!!

I remember loosing that little scrub brush that comes with them to help clean the insides, and I called the customer service line just to ask if they sold just the brushes anywhere. They sent me 5 brushes within a few days, free.

I bet if you called them they'd mail you replacement "insides".

That happens to us every once in awhile. It's always either that we filled it above "the line" or that the insides are on straight or tightened enough.

Good luck!

Yes I agree with this poster...when mine would leak...I usually filled them above the line.

Mine would leak every time if they were not perfectly upright. The avent bottles could just be thrown in the bag, but not our Dr. Browns.

Mine are definately not above the line. DD has never drank an 8oz bottle at one time so hers are usually at 6 oz.
Maybe I will call the helpline as someone else suggested.
When you pay a lot for a bottle you sure dont expect that they will leak when feeding your baby. Even when I would set them down in between feeding the milk would still drip down the sides:confused3 ugghh.......
Thanks for the input

"that the insides are on straight or tightened enough"- what does that mean?
Do you mean that the inside straw piece isnt in the circle part enough? Sorry I just keep re-reading this trying to figure it out. Thanks

When we used them, if the top was screwed on too tight, we found they would leak. Try not screwing them as tightly. I know you think leak, then start screwing them down, but it seems as if it squishes something and makes them leak more.

Our little guy had reflux, so we loved these bottles!

The only problem I ever had leaks with the dr. brown's was when the rubber part wasn't fully pressed into the straw part. I hope you figure out what's going on!
