Why am I up at 4 AM on a Monday in California?

To make our ADRs of course.

Because we are a party of five (with two teenagers ordering off the adult menu :scared1:), we are only planning a limited number of table service meals. We are also staying at Bonnet Creek (need the space) so we're hoping for breakfast in the condo and maybe a couple of packed lunches. Also, our sit-down meals are for lunch to save a little money.

Yesterday overslept until 5:15 and called to make 50s Prime Time reservations (no computer yesterday). I wanted an 11:30 reservation, but I was told they couldn't guarantee that we would all be sitting together :confused3, but they had an 11:00 reservation available. OK, took that. First ever ADR made!

This morning I set the alarm, went online, and got an 11:30 reservation for Le Cellier. No problem. Hope tomorrow goes smoothly for Crystal Palace. I may put it off until 5 am because I don't expect it to be as popular. I'm going to need some sleep!

This is our first trip in 20 years (went for our honeymoon), and first ever for our kids. Disneyland is much easier!! But it will all be worth it!:cool1:

At least it is a happy reason to be up at 4:00 a.m.! It will be all worth it. Great idea making the lunch reservations, sometimes we have the later lunch as our main meal. Have fun!

We keep hearing that they have large servings at the TS restaurants, so our plan is to pack up the leftovers, head back to the condo, stick them in the fridge, enjoy an afternoon at the pool, then have our leftovers for dinner. We'll see how that works for us. We'll have some food on hand to make sandwiches, quesadillas, etc. if that's not enough food.

Meal costs are always so shocking when we go to Disneyland, it's my husband's biggest complaint. If the food was fabulous (it's not at DL), he'd complain less. But $50 for bland hamburgers just bugs him, and he talks about it for months. I'm hoping the food is better at DW.

The separate table wording is to cover their butts, and has even appeard on reservations for one.

I've never heard of smaller parties (such as 5) being split, so if you get that warning in the future, I wouldn't worry much about it. :goodvibes

Slept in until 5 this morning and still got the lunch reservations I wanted for Crystal Palace! I like the online system, much easier than the phone call I had to make on Sunday morning. Sleeping in a little tomorrow (Kennedy Space Center day....in 180 days) and Thursday (AK day, nothing jumping out at us). Then I'm back online making back-up ADRs.

Wow, 180 days....
