I've been wanting to go to CG for years but something keeps holding me back.

I think it may be the timing.
What is the best time to make a PS if the fireworks are at 9:00?
I am thinking maybe early, 7:00, and then we'd be finished with dinner and go out on the balcony to watch. I wouldn't want to have to get up in the middle of dinner to go watch them.

Most of the reports I read about CG are great but I have read that it is loud and that the tables are really close to each other.

Maybe we should eat in the Wine Room?

We seem to be stuck in a rut, we always eat at the same places, mostly Flying Fish and Spoodles.

I'd really like to try CG on our anniversary trip, although I may have waited too long to get a PS now.

If we don't go to CG I think we might try Narcoossee's or Citricos.

We need to venture out and go somewhere new!

Any advise for me?

Thanks!

Oh do try it. It is so good. We don't try to time it with the fireworks. We do go early.... 6:00 or so. Less likely to have a wait. Then we go back to the Polynesian or GF for the fireworks. Or your idea of 7:00 and see them afterwards could work well too.

It is noisy in the main room but not too noisy for conversation. I don't think the tables are that close...nothing like some of the Epcot restaurants. My DH really prefers the wine room though and so we ask for that these days if he is dining. It is very quiet.

We enjoy Citrico and Narcoossee's too. I know what you mean about a rut. Since we're usually at a monorail resort we've never tried FF or Spoodles. As we spend more time at BCV I'm sure we'll break out of our rut!

Try it! Fireworks or not! The food is absolutely delicious from start to finish, the view and atmosphere are great.

Don't be afraid, just do it! Really, we really like CG with or without kids.!

Thanks so much for the replies and for the push I needed, everyone! :)

We are definately going to CG!

I think we'll sit in the Wine Room and go early. I'm not THAT concerned about the fireworks but we'll probably still be there to see them at 9:00.

I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks again!

If you like the FF, I feel that you will love the CG. I have ate at both and I feel that the noise level and the room between the tables at both restaurants is comparable.:) Go and enjoy!!!!

I agree with everyone...if you can time it with the fireworks, it is certainly a bonus, but not necessary for an amazing dining experience. It has become one of our favorite restaurants not just at WDW but anywhere.

Ditto to what everyone else has said, and...

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary!!!
