Looks like you've picked all good ones!
I have Boma booked for dinner in Oct (1st time there as well, but hear great things).
Did Chef Mickey breakfast - it's busy, it's loud, the food is pretty good and even if you have to wait for the characters it's worth it!
I did Crystal Palace for lunch and it was awesome! The characters were great, spent a lot of time with my kids.
I've never been to Teppen Edo but I know it's a fav on the DIS. I love Teppen style dinners - so much fun!

I have been to Crystal Palace for dinner and it is my favorite. Very good food and the characters are great. I love being in MK and not leaving....over all an A+ from me.

I have eaten Ohana for dinner but not breakfast, love the restaurant but since my comments would only be for dinner I won't bore you.
;)

Now for Boma. It was not for us. I was so looking forward to this dinner and was so disappointed.
I am not that much of an adventerous eater, but if there is staples, Beef, mashed potatoes, a veggie I can get by happily.

Boma's dishes are made with African spices, so they are sweet like cinnamon and ginger, not hot like I had thought.
So 99% of the dishes are sweet......even the strip loin was rubbed in cinnamon flavors....it wasn't for me and I can eat almost any type of beef.

DH is mostly a veggie and sweet tooth when eating out, but even the dishes were to sweet for him!! Needless to say we went hungry.

Now not that the food was bad but if you aren't crazy about your foods being sweet then you may want to really think about that choice.

Have a nice trip! :)

Boma's for dinner would love to go but have never been here
Chef mickey's for breakfast, maybe ohana's I prefer 'Ohanas: more relaxed atmosphere, better character interaction, better service JMHO
crystal palace for dinner great choice! We had a nice time here
Teppan edo for dinner loved it! We went here for Thanksgiving dinner this year, very nice staff, good food, kids were entertained by the chef.

I can only help you with two choices.... sorry! My family, including my parents, ate at Boma's last year for dinner and only my DH enjoyed it... if you love to try new foods then this is the place for you. We did have breakfast at Boma's last year also and the breakfast was EXCELLENT!!!

As for Chef Mickey's or Ohana's... I would chose Ohana hands down!!!! We ate at both of those last month and both were breakfast. Let me just say... Chef Mickey's was awful.... nothing we ate was hot or even luke warm (including those famous Mickey Waffles :( ) and my eggs were extremely runny. Ohana was fantastic!!!! The character interaction was even better and that excellent food comes to you :cool1:!

Boma for dinner --:sad2:definitely not for us. We found it very crowded, long lines everywhere. Food was either incredibly over-spiced (with the main spice seeming to be cinnamon on everything, including the meat) OR it was totally bland & tasteless. Found very little we actually liked other than fresh fruit & breads, a couple of the desserts. Unless you're an adventurous bunch would not recommend Boma Dinner. We did love Boma Breakfast...this is some exotic foods, but also a lot of regular Disney breakfast buffet foods. If you're looking for another good buffet for dinner, I'd suggest 1900 Park Fare (stepsisters are hilarious) or Cape May Cafe at Beach Club. Or even Biergarten in German/Epcot...kids tend to like the German oompah band there.

Chef Mickey's for breakfast :thumbsup2--we really enjoyed this, and great characters

Crystal Palace for dinner :thumbsup2-- another good choice for characters, and like the food too

Teppan Edo, can't help you here...have not been here.

Boma dinner - DH and I loved it, DD1 (age 10), not so much, but she wasn't feeling great. The waiter was awesome and brought her some ginger ale and crackers. We are going back this year. The soups and hummus alone are enough to bring me back!

CM breakfast - it's loud, busy, okay food. But, you have the fab 5! That makes it all worthwhile! Going back here again.

Ohana breakfast - LOVED it! All our favorite breakfast foods, brought family style so you're not up and down to the buffet. Parade for the kids, great juice. Again, going back this year.

CP dinner - Pooh and friends are great, food was pretty good. Nothing is standing out in my mind, but we did enjoy it. We actually like breakfast here better, but it's a fun time.

Teppan Edo - can't help you here, but it gets great reviews?

thank you all for your thoughts.. my mom just looked thru some of the menus and she wants to try the garden grill, cape may cafe, or Biergarten after i told her i ate in germany and i liked it she wants to try it. i think shes just to excited by the fact we are going to make up her mind.

I love Boma and Crystal Palace. I thought the breakfast at Chef Mickey's was just all right, I thought Ohana was better. Never been to Teppan Edo, so can't comment on that.

Boma is a family favorite. My 14 year old son absolutely loves Boma. This is one of the restaurants he requests.

We happen to really enjoy Chef Mickey's, but would take 'Ohana's breakfast over Chef Mickey's in a heart beat. The food is fantastic and the character interaction is wonderful. This is one we do every trip.

As for Crystal Palace, we prefer breakfast to dinner. While the food is decent for dinner and lunch, we find the food to be much better for breakfast. And of course the characters are really great here.

We haven't tried Teppan Edo yet.

And for what it's worth we were just there in February/March for our daughter's 1st birthday. We decided on Garden Grill for her birthday celebration dinner. It was our best character meal of the trip. The characters were SUPER! We must have seen all of them at least 3-4 times. Just a great, great experience.

Have a great trip!
