Whose planning an unexpected trip to WDW this summer because of the Fairy Tale Pkg.?

DH and I had a vacation scheduled for 8 days in September, we just didnt know our destination. We were debating between London or an "all-inclusive beachy type vacation" when we learnd of the FTP from a tv commercial.

Neither of us have been to disney since we were small kids and last year some friends of ours went and raved about it. For kicks I priced out some packages and I was stunned at the cost (more than what we pay for Sandals!) so we sort of forgot about it. Fast forward a year and we are planning our first Disney trip. Chances are, without the FTP we would be going somewhere else.

We never thought Disney would be our "thing" but we are both really excited and so looking forward to this belated wedding anniv. trip. I think it is important for Disney to offer packages such as these, they really do hit a whole untapped market of vacationers who normally wouldnt go to Disney.

My girlfriend and I were originally only going to be able to go for 4 nights. Then I found out about this package on this website. I couldn't resist. Now we get to stay 7 nights at the Allstar sports with airfare for $1500. Going the end of October.

Still trying to convince DH it's worth a second trip in one year!!

We usually go every two years.

We spent a wonderful week in WDW last August for vacation. This year, we debated whether or not to try something new or to go back to "the world". Finally, my boyfriend decided that we should do something different this year and so we booked a Caribbean cruise on Carnival. We were beginning to make all of our plans, but it just wasn't the same as planning a Disney vacation. My boyfriend kept asking me if I was SURE I was okay with our decision, and I said yes, because I knew he didn't want to go back, but in my heart I kept thinking "I WANT TO GO TO DISNEY WORLD".

Then...two days before the final payment was due for the cruise, we found out about the FTP and it was an offer even my boyfriend couldn't pass up! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
(He's secretly as big of a Disney freak as I am

So...we cancelled the cruise and we're headed to ASSp the first week of August. I can't wait!

The FTP swayed our decision:)
We were already booked on the Magic 10/18 with our grown kids, but we are celebrating our 30th anniversary and wanted to take a two week vacation. Then one night we see a commercial for FTP....
AKL concierge, here we come!:Pinkbounc

P.S. Sounds like there will be a lot of DISers there in Oct.:D

We are! We hadn't planned on going until DS graduates (2 more years!) But this was too good to pass up. Already made ressies for end of July. Now my DH is saying maybe we shouldn't go!Economy and everything. PLEASE give me reasons why we should go. My kids are so excited about going! Haven't said anything about maybe having to cancel. I want to go so badly. But I need to convince DH. Any ideas???

We were thinking about doing one of those packages where you spend 4 days in the park and 3 days on the Disney cruise but then we heard about the FT package!

Now we are staying WL concierge for a week in Sept!

I called to book reserv. in Feb and then talked about the FT pkg and changed the plans to the last week in July. We're saving alot of money this way. Feb was going to be expensive compared to this and we moved up from ASMu to CSR. So that got me real excited. My DH couldn't believe it when he came home from work and I told him we were going in July instead of Feb. Now, I just hope we can save enough $$ by June 11. We have to have it paid in full in 2 weeks. That was the only downfall about changing dates.

We had been thinking about a 4-5 day trip maybe in December - doing an All Star vacation. And I hadn't really done anything about it. I started perusing the DIS boards the beginning of May and learned about the FTP before the media blitz. Convinced DH that we need to stay at the WL - OK, we don't NEED to - but it was just too good a deal to pass up.

So we are going to WL for 7 nights in September!!!

We had a DCL cruise scheduled for October, but decided to cancel it in order to take advantage of this deal. Who knows if we'll ever see it again?!?! We are staying at Poly concierge Sept. 15-22. Just booked yesterday. I have been lurking over on the cruise boards for the past few months. Guess it's time to change gears.

We are. After going last 2 years, decided to take a break. Couldn't pass up this deal so here we come in August.

I was checking out renting beach club or boardwalk villas by renting out points from a DVC member. I just happened to call about the price difference if we stayed at a deluxe monorail resort for mid July and was pleasantly surprised (as the fairytale package wasn't even posted on Disney site - and the computer was taking so long to get rates!) Boy was I ever glad I picked up the phone. We're staying 7 Nights at the Poly concierge.

We weren't planning to go to WDW again this year since we spent a week at the AKL in January but since this deal is so great, we booked a week at the AsMo for this fall!
