How does DCL handle this "who's in your party / group" situation? There are three families all flying in separately from various locations around the country. Our reservations are all linked. But we are planning on not meeting or connecting until we all get on the ship in case someone in the "party / group" tests positive at the port. Will that ensure that some of us can continue to go on a cruise if someone in the party tests positive? Does it have to do with your "travel party / group"? What about if you take DCL transportation to the port? If someone on the shuttle / bus tests positive, does that mean the whole busload can't board? Confused.

Yes, that works. “Travel party” are those arriving at the together.

No, if someone (not in your travel party) on the bus tests positive you are not denied boarding.

We just cruised with friends who live in another state. We flew separately and took separate Ubers to the port. Our reservations were linked. We decided ahead of time if either couple tested positive at the port that the other couple would still cruise. Luckily neither couple tested positive but I am pretty sure one or the other couple would have been allowed to cruise.

My immediate family arrived in one car, the rest of the family arrived in the other car. Someone in the other car tested positive, but my immediate family was allowed to board. We had to jump through some extra hoops because someone in the other car was actually in one of our staterooms, but we made it. (Felt a little guilty, but still had fun!)

I'd be a little nervous if we all arrived on the same DCL transportation, though. With linked reservations, they may assume you were "together" and not let any of the groups board.
