Teri,...we were suuure hoping TS Lee was gonna bring us some rain,unforturnately, it missed us and we are prob getting none of it! We were so looking forward to it...you can send it back to us if you want to!! Hope it doesn't wreck your entire weekend...maybe we will get a smidge anyway!

Good morning Shawna - Jo - Shelly -everybody!

Shawna, I would be happy to share some of the rain with y'all if I could! Last night my DH was just saying, "Too bad Texas isn't getting this rain, because they really need it." The bad thing is that we have already had 4 tornado warnings since about 2:00 a.m. and a continuous tornado watch. It's so weird, because there hasn't been 1 clap of thunder or lightning. It really doesn't look that bad - just a steady rain. I'm the biggest weather chicken out there. I took my pillow and blanket and went in my closet when I heard the TV warning at 2:00. I am soooo thankful that this isn't happening in Florida!! It would be the worst case scenario for a Disney vacation.

I'm just going to get a lot of house cleaning done this weekend instead of going to our camp with my family. And watching football! LSU is actually playing in Dallas tonight. It's not so bad.....I'm actually enjoying being forced to stay inside! Now if we just don't lose power!

Teri...YIKES!! That is strange isn't it? Well...its overcast here and a slow steady, light rain...we dnt have big dark clouds or anything...so you must be getting a lot by now...I hope you dont have any tornados or crazy wind-gusts. I am out on my backporch and i must say...this is the first nice day I can remember in a loooong time. The wind is a nice cool breeze and the temps are waaay down...our lows next week should drop a couple nights into the 60s!!! How awesome will that be?!! Hopefully after this rain, you will get some nice temps too!! And it is a good day to clean!!!
I have to take my ds12 to get some clothes today--he informed me yesterday he needs new night shirts & boxers, and shorts and shirts! This kid HATES to shop....so he must reaaaally be uncomfortable in what he has...I have asked him several times over the summer when shopping for me or the other two could I get him some stuff and he just shakes his little head and says'Nah, I'm fine'...he just doesn't like it. So... I think we will hit Target first--I mentioned the mall and he almost panicked!! LOL..I guess target seems less painful!!!!
So...we gotta keep chatty on here for the girls till they get back!!!!! I am assuming they will TR together too,huh? I forget if they mentioned it or not...What are the rest of you all doing this weekend...especially if you get a 3day, non rain-weekend?!

Hi Shawna! Things are about the same over here. Been raining off and on all day (since last night) but nothing severe....yet! I don't think the worst part of the storm has passed yet, because the forecast for tomorrow includes strong winds and rain. We've had very little wind at all so far. I cleaned house all day, and then turned to doing all my laundry. I don't want a basket full of dirty clothes in case the power goes out. I dug out our hurricane lanterns and oil, pulled out some candles, and put fresh batteries in a radio/flashlight combo. I don't want to be caught fumbling around in the dark for candles! Hopefully it will all be for nothing, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we both had some nice hint-of-fall weather? Y'all have had much hotter weather than we have had, so you are really due for a break.

That's so funny about your son asking to go shopping today! Did he find some things he needed? I usually shopped for my son and brought back what he didn't like. I can't say I blame your DS about the mall. When I go in stores like Dillard's, it's overwhelming! Too many departments and choices. I used to like Petite Sophisticate because I liked the clothes and it was small, but they closed a couple of years ago. So did you sniff the bathrooms at Target in honor of Jo?

I can't believe Shelly is leaving tomorrow! That is correct, isn't it? She's probably asleep by now, but I bet she was pretty sad today. Oh well, she'll have to start planning her next trip before too long! I'm not sure, but I think she and Jo are doing seperate TR's. Maybe I just made that up or dreamed it though.

I wonder when we will hear from Shelly? I'm so anxious to see her pics and hear all about her trip!

I'll check in again tomorrow if I can!

Hey T..how are y'all today!? I am anxious to hear if you lost power or what...from what we were hearing over here it wasn't suppose to get really bad--but it doesnt take a lot of wind really to knock weak trees into power lines!!!
He got a few things and he got 'em quick!! Yeah..the mall is quite overwhelming! We do NOT sniff our bathrooms at Target! in fact, we hold our breath!!! Not sure what the prob is here with that...it NEVER smells good.
I thought it was either today or tomorrow that they are coming home..not sure. well...check in when you can...I am sure you are really getting the weather now...here it is just down to a steady drizzle...we got an awesome day of rain yesterday--alllll day! Never heavy or stormy,just rain all day.

Having a great time- but had to say goodbye to Shelly this morning. We didn't have enough time together.

Shelly- if you're reading this it means you're home. We had so much fun with you guys and can't wait to do it again.

Yesterday we went to the game and it was so good to be back in the Swamp! We missed Tebow of course but tailgating was wonderful.

Tonight we are heading to the MK for EMH and dinner.

Hope everyone is safe in the rain and storms. Y'all keep Shelly company while I'm gone. The end of vacation is so awful.

Hello strangers! We're back


Just a quick check in, I need to get to bed. I am so tired!
The trip was wonderful. We had a great time. It wasn't as hot as I expected. I mean it was hot, but totally doable. We did get several days of rain (about 2-3 hours on about 5 of the days), but it didn't really interfere with our plans too much. CBR was great and the Poly is fabulous. I seriously could live there. So yes, we do have a new favorite. I don't think we would do club level again though. But more on that later..... Crowds were low for the most part. Mostly walk-ons at MK. Still long waits at Epcot & DHS for Soarin, TT, and TSM. We had some good meals and some not so good meals. Did a lot of shopping - 3 trips to DTD!

I'll have to go back and read all the pages since I've been gone and catch up here -- tomorrow!

A lot happened while you were gone, Irene came to visit us here in Ct. and we postponed our trip to March and already thinking about changeing resorts

Get some sleep so you can start your TR and we heard all about you going to DTD to buy more shoes !!!!!

You're home safe and sound! I hope you had a long enough trip that coming home wasn't so bad. That's always my aim - to stay long enough to do all I want to do and long enough that I'm actually a little glad to be back in my own home. To me, in a way it feels like you've been gone forever and on the other hand it seems like you just left.

I'm so glad that you had a great trip! I guess no trip is without snags or things you would do differently next time. But you learn a little on each trip and use that info when you plan the next one!

The thing I was most worried about for you was the heat, and I'm glad that wasn't an issue. So will you do a summer trip again or back to November?

We'll give you a day or two to unpack and unwind before we start hounding you for all the details, but maybe you can give us a few tidbits to keep us happy. We're not impatient or anything......
