I know, you just have to try and send the germ phobias on vacation when you're on vacation. The washcloth thing.....I don't know, I've heard too many stories of people whose kids got sick at Disney, and then you wonder what they grabbed to clean it up, or any spills in general.I will use their towels to dry off, but there's just something about washing my face.....
I'm sorry, everybody, for spreading my neuroses around.
And of course I realize that every ride car, every hand rail, etc. is far worse than the hotel room or the linens. Whatchagonnado?
I walked outside for the first time in weeks this morning. It wasn't awful, but not nearly as pleasant as Saturday. And I think we are going to have a record high today. Come on, fall!
So far it sounds like Shelly's trip is rolling along smoothly. I hope they are enjoying their meals and tolerating the weather. At least the weather was good for swimming. No blue lips in the pool is definitely a plus! If I remember correctly, on their November trips they would usually swim as long as they could stand the cold water.
Keep the updates coming!
Oh my gosh, you poor thing with the milk.![]()
If that happened over here, I would be the one to clean it up for sure. My DH cannot handle any gross stuff like that. Here's a gross, funny little story for you! A long time ago when my kids were little, I had gone to play Pokeno with my neighborhood friends and my DH was in charge for the evening. He took the kids to eat somewhere and when they were almost home, DS threw up in DH's Blazer. Thank heavens it was all vinyl seats and floor. He cleaned as much as he could stand. But at 10:00 that night, I was outside giving it the extreme-clean. I left the windows open to air out overnight. Next morning, DH goes out to leave for work and finds that the neighbor's cat got inside and used his car for a littler box. I am assuming I cleaned it up, given what I just said about my DH, but maybe the trauma of it has blocked it from my memory.
OK, I promise that is the last gross thing I will mention on this PTR. My apologies to everyone.
You are right about the washcloths and the sick kids. I remember some years ago reading here on the DIS about a teen who went in to wash their face and grabbed the towel and rubbed it on her face--- only to get a face full of poop.

It's haunted me since then.

Your story about your son getting sick in the car is awful. I'm surprised that it wasn't impounded after the cat got in it.

Mark actually is very good about cleaning stuff up--- he usually is the one to do it b/c he says he doesn't want me to have to deal with it.

Shelly's doing good--- haven't heard from her this afternoon, but last I heard she was still in AK. That was a long time ago, and given the way she feels about that park, I don't think she lasted there too much longer.
Okay time for homework help. I'll be back later!
