Jo - Glad you were able to get the box mailed

So this morning her first text to me was that they had landed and were on the ME bus. Said flight went well and the weather was cloudy and humid but no rain.

A later text said that when they got to CBR their room was ready for them!! She sent a pic of the best looking cupcake I've EVER seen, and said they were going to go to Epcot later. She also said it was VERY hot.

That's all for now. I'll let you know when I hear anything else!

Sounds like things are off to a good start with the room being ready when they arrived They have some of the best looking cupcakes in WDW

My Mom (in Charleston) said they are getting the bands of squalls now from Irene, so that means that it has moved away from FL. Good news for Shelly.

Ooh, I know!! It's so much fun to know what someone is doing while they are in WDW WHILE they're there!!
I always gets so excited when she sends texts! (esp when it's pics of cupcakes!!!)


Once she's home and I'm still there-- she'll be doing the same, giving updates as she gets them from me. So maybe that will give you about two weeks of fun times to get you excited!

Yep I think things worked out great for Shelly weather wise, it may even be a little cooler now, I know the year we were there right after a huricane it seemed to bring in some cooler temps.

Yep I think things worked out great for Shelly weather wise, it may even be a little cooler now, I know the year we were there right after a huricane it seemed to bring in some cooler temps.

This weekend and Monday are the only days that I have nothing to do. So I'm going to push really hard to get it all done.

They are doing great- last night they had supper at Via Napoli. Crowds were moderate - didn't ride Soarin but did a lot of other things. They were exhausted and went back early to go to bed.

This morning bright and early I got a text of a pic of the boys in front of the train station at MK before rope drop! They were looking so cute, all ready for a great day.

So far she says there are no waits and they are walking on to most everything.

Tonight they may head to DTD.

She sounds happy and her DH seems to be doing okay so far.


I'll let you know when I hear more from her!

I am here!! first of all, I know how all of you are feeling anticipating Irene coming in...we had Rita here a few years back and it's a weird feeling not being sure what you will come back to.Hopefully you will only suffer power outages and only for a minimal time!!!! Stay safe and be calm!!! We are praying for y'all.

Only 5 days til the Disney Magic is yours for the taking!!!! I was so happy to read last night that the box was mailed!!! I had to take something to our nearest UPS store last night and I was inspired!! Just being in there made me want to buy a box and start packing!!! Seriously, I do need to start buying my toiletries little by little now. I think I have toothbrushes, but everything else I will need.
Keep us posted as you progress with your packing and we will be here toyou on!!

Jo, in honor of your push to get it all done and my morning of laziness here at home..I will post you a few things I bring/ship every year! Just in case you feel that you have forgotten anything!!:-toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss pics, mouthwash
-detergent (if they have the brand I use), quarters for the machines, dryer sheets, and a collapsable pop-up hamper that fits in a suitcase. ***This is a must-do for a family of 5!! We just put it in the bthrm and then i use it to haul the laundry back and forth...it's a lifesaver--keeps u more organized in that tiny area!
-shoe hanger to put over the closet or bthrm door to keep all your small items in-I put EVERYTHING in this...change, receipts, brushes, sunglasess, etc
-MED:tylenol, ibuprofen, EXCEDRINE,one small pk of Immodium, band-aids, Neosporin,(you will add your famous SUNSCREEN here),chapstick,small clippers,nail file.
-travel-size shampoos & hair products (I buy these whenever I find the brands I use selling travel sizes...I hate bringing full-size product when I travel)..combs,brushes, hairclips, bows,etc.
-Make-up..and removers,face washes....
-chargers for cameras, phones, kids games
-Paperwork, Ids,cash, credit card
-snax, breakfast stuff --but if you are staying club level, you prob wont be shipping any food...OH!! GUM!! Gotta have gum for the airplane!!!
If I think of anything else that's a lifesaver for me I will repost it!!

It just started raining here in NE Maryland so I figured I'd jump on the computer before Irene hits. These are the times I wish we didn't live amongst 100ft+ trees. We're all set with gas for the generator and a stockpile of junk food and are prepped to sleep in the basement tonight. Praying everyone stays safe!

Advil, Excedrin, Prilosec, ADvil for kids, neosporin, First aid (tiny) kit, band aids for blisters, chapstick, Delsym for coughs, benadryl for allergies, tons of sunscreen.... all in box shipped already. I'm doing okay so far!


-travel-size shampoos & hair products (I buy these whenever I find the brands I use selling travel sizes...I hate bringing full-size product when I travel)..combs,brushes, hairclips, bows,etc.

Shampoo for me, body wash, deodorant, yep...all shipped!-

vaseline for feet ( I put it on my feet with socks at nite!)
