Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

Shelly -

What a beautiful dog! Love the name too!

Not doing much this weekend except packing for the cruise and meeting up for dancing at Disneyland. Have to renew my AP before we go. Fourth of July will be low key since we have to be at the airport at 5:30 a.m. the next day. We are going to try to see one of the Fourth of July shows at DL on Saturday since they are doing performances the 1st - 4th at both parks.

Found out to day that I am going to meet up with my cousin in Anchorage. Haven't seen him in over 30 years. Should be interesting!

Been really enjoying the PTR! Can't wait for the next installment.

Sea :cool1:

Thanks Sea! :)

You are going to have the best time on your cruise! :cool1:

That should be fun catching up with a long lost relative too.

I'm glad you are enjoying the PTR. I'll have another update in the morning!

Your new puppy is adorable, what breed is he?

DH really wants one, but it isn't really practical for us right now. I told him we can discuss it again once we get back to the states, but for now we live on the 8th floor of our building. There's no way I will be taking a puppy and the baby up and down several times a day.
He also lost a beloved family pet a few years ago, and he has been struggling a lot with it.

The baby seems to be on his side though. Every time he sees a cat or dog he gets REALLY excited. It's quite adorable!

Let's see...oh turkey legs!
At least he's not a lady!:rotfl2:

Thank you. He is a Sheltie (Shetland Sheepdog). That's what we had before and I highly recommend them. Excellent family dogs.

I hope you guys are able to get a dog when you get back to the states. :goodvibes

Those pics of your DH are hilarious!! :rotfl: It makes me laugh every time I see someone walking around with a turkey leg at the parks. IDK why. I just find it so funny!!

Sea :cool1:

I hate to hijack......but hey, Shelly said they weren't going to be around much. ;) So what she doesn't know won't hurt her, right?

Sea, I gather you are going on an Alaskan cruise. Could you please tell me which cruise line/ship and whether this is your first Alaskan cruise? I've never been on any cruise, and the only way I could ever get my DH on one is if it is an Alaskan cruise. Thanks! (and sorry, Shelly and Jo :guilty:)

Hey everyone--

As you can see from the time-- it's super late and I am trying like heck to get to sleep. Been gathering and packing up and shopping for last minute stuff for days now.

Sorry to not answer each of you individually, but I really appreciate the kind words and wishes for my Mom.

I am hoping that once all of this is over I can really get deep into this PTR and we'll have a good time doing it.:lmao:

Shelly------ I can't wait to see more of Captain Jack ---- You guys have a good time with him, he is just precious.:goodvibes

I hope everyone has a wonderful Fourth of July!!
If you are traveling, stay safe and healthy.

Glad you all are here, sharing a bit of our lives with us!:goodvibes

I'll post updates as soon as I am able to.
Take care--
Jo

Good morning everyone. :goodvibes

Safe travels Jodi. Have a good trip!

Now onto Magic Kingdom dining.....

Where to start... With our favorite I guess! We all love Crystal Palace. I think they have the best buffet at Disney by far. And it's always clean, well stocked, and a lot of fun! We have done both breakfast and dinner at Crystal Palace and loved them both!

DS turning 4!! Wow, this was over 5 years ago – he is 9 ½ now!

We had dinner once at the Plaza Restaurant. It was very good. I think we just had sandwiches and fries. I do remember the kids being thrilled with getting cookies and milk for dessert there! We are thinking about going there this time.

All of my boys just love Casey's Corner and we will definitely be making a stop (or two) there this trip! I think it is just okay, but I don't really care for hot dogs. I do like their fries with cheese though! DH likes their hot dogs, and the kids love their mini corn-dogs and they think it's great getting Cracker Jacks there!

We went to Cosmic Rays for dinner a few trips ago. I had heard so many things about this place and just had to try it. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan. :guilty: I guess I didn't care for how you had to get in separate lines for chicken, hamburgers, etc. I don't know why, that doesn't bother me at food courts. I guess I just wasn't expecting it there. Plus all the lines were HUGE and it was very crowded and loud. The food was average and we didn't hate the place, we just aren't in a hurry to get back anytime soon.

We went to Pecos Bill on our very first trip for lunch one day. I remember the food being okay, but I also remember it being so very crowded in there and flies were everywhere. There was nowhere to sit and we walked around with heavy trays of food looking for a table for what seemed like forever. It was just an unpleasant experience. Well, several years and several trips later we decided to give it another try last November. And I'm glad we did! It was a much better experience this time. The lines were short, but the service was slow. The food was very good.

Okay, I guess that sums up our MK dining experience! Our plans for MK dining this time - we will stop at Casey's Corner a time or two. We might also hit Pecos Bill again, or try another CS. And we have an ADR at the Plaza Restaurant that I am not sure if we are going to keep or not.

And of course we need to talk about MK snacks!!

My favorite snack in all of Disney ~ A Pineapple Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle! :cloud9:

Thoughts/Opinions/Suggestions?

I have to leave in a sec, so I'll come back later to read all your reviews. But I can't leave without saying those are 2 cute little dumplings! :cutie: And I'm not talking about the food! Those cheeks on your DS4athethetime! :cutie:

Jo - Have a good weekend and a good time at your Mom's Wedding. Sending good thoughts to your entire family.````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` ```````````````````` ``````````````` `````
Shelly - We like CP too, going there for Breakfast in October. We have not eaten at quite a few places in MK. I know we have done the Turkey Legs. I hear you about the long lines and waiting then having to search for a table.
Your food from Peco's Bills does look good but I do not think we ever ate there either.
It's funny I rememeber stopping to read menus outside of places, like Tony's then going someplace else, at least this trip we will try Tony's although I am thinking about LTT, we have never ate there either.

Well looking at your pics my stomach is rumbling since all I have had so far this morning is coffee so I am off to make something to eat now.

:lmao: You have that Dole Whip sitting there like a model posing in a photo shoot!

Have you guys tried CHH? It is my favorite place in MK.

Btw, you are so right about the Lord speaking through our kids. That has happened to me so, so many times!

We love Crystal Palace, but now it gets pushed aside for Kona!

My taco salad at Pecos was very good. I just might get another one this time. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear how you like Tony's. That's one place you never seem to hear much about.

I know, that's the trouble with food posts, they always make me so hungry!!

Well the Dole Whip deserves its own photo-shoot! ::yes::

Nope, we've never been to CHH. We thought about it last year but ended up at Pecos (after we had stopped at Casey's for corn dog nuggets for the kids :upsidedow).

Btw, you are so right about the Lord speaking through our kids. That has happened to me so, so many times!

Have you read the book Heaven Is For Real? I know it's a little OT here, but wow what an amazing story. I just finished it last night and my head is still spinning.

Here's another vote for CHH! We love it! The tuna sandwich is great, the shrimp is good, fries are good! And you can go upstairs and sit and look outside while in the A/C!!

We went to Tony's on our recent trip - if I ever get to it, I'll have a review in my TR (hopefully before you leave on your trip!) Short version - it was good. ;)

Shelly - That Taco Salad looks really good. I definitely want to try that the next time we are at MK. I can't believe how young your boys look in those pictures! Great WDW memories.

Jo - Have a safe trip!

T-Bird - This is our first Alaskan cruise. We will be on the Island Princess. We really like Princess cruises and have been on several of them. Cruising is a wonderful and relaxing experience. I highly recommend it! PM me if you want more info or have any questions.

You should give CHH a try. It is a great place to get away from the crowds for a while too.

Is that the one that tells the story of the little boy who almost died? If so, I saw an interview with him and thought that would be a good read. And I would love to know if dogs go to Heaven. I know that sounds dumb, but I can't imagine never getting to see my fur babies again. I'd like to know the answer to that and if we are going to be married in Heaven. Two things I have always wondered about! :)

I'll have to look over the CHH menu!

Can't wait to read your Tony's review. :)

It was very good. They just give you and shell and the meat and you top it the rest of the way yourself. :thumbsup2

I know, my babies are growing up.

I don't even think I know exactly where CHH is. I'll have to do my research!

Yes, that's the story. It is amazing, you have to read it. And I can tell you that your question about dogs going to Heaven is answered in it. :goodvibes I have been praying for a sign that my doggy is okay and waiting for me in Heaven, and I got my sign last night towards the end of the book. :)
