Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

Shelly...you could def pack your stuff already!! Got your Mtn Dews and snacks bought yet? and dang,.. I am jeaaaaalous!! i wanna meet ya'll for that midnight gab session...how fun is that gonna be?:cheer2:

I want to pack right now but I'm trying to wait!! Usually it is fall or winter and I can pack our summer/FL clothes and not have to worry about wanting to wear them here. But since we are going in the summer it's making things a bit harder!! :upsidedow

I bought breakfast bars so far. That's it. I will get my Mtn Dew and some other stuff a little later. Actually I will only need breakfast bars and snacks for the first half of the trip now since we will have CL the second half!

Shelly, I think you are set girl! Love all the shirts for the boys! I just have one question.... does the hubby get anything new for the trip or is he on his own?

Thanks! :)

 I have bought DH a few new shorts for the trip. But I didn't think anyone here would want to see my DH's shorts. :lmao: You know how most mens shorts are so long and heavy? I don't think that is going to be very comfortable on the trip since it is going ot be so hot. So I got him a few pair of lighter running shorts. I don't think he likes the looks of them all that much, but I think he will appreciate them when we are at WDW! :rotfl:

Glad your dentist appt. went well, Shelly! I'm with you - I hate going to the dentist, especially having my teeth cleaned. I developed dentist chickeness ;) late in life. I have to have nitrous to have my teeth cleaned. Shots I am not afraid of, and I don't need the gas if I'm having anything done that requires a shot. But that picking around during cleaning........:scared1:

That is quite a collection of shirts the boys have! I remember you showing us the TOT one your DS12 bought....last year? They both have some really cute, I mean cool shirts! I bet you won't be able to get them to wear their matching POTC shirts on the same day.

I agree with Sea - that is a strange-looking mister! Where are the blades? :confused3

Oh the dentist. :scared1: Maybe that's what I need to do -- start asking for the gas. It takes all I have to sit there for a cleaning. :scared:

Yep, DS got his TOT shirt in November! I don't know if they'll still wear their matching shirts or not. They probably will at Disney!!

There are no blades on DS9's mister. You just push the button and the mist comes out.

Hello Hello!!

shelly--- OMG-- all of those shirts could just go right into the luggage! You are all ready I think!!:goodvibes So, when do you think you will start packing???:rolleyes1
Love the boys' shirts. They are all so cute. And the misters... :faint:
I need to buy some. I don't know which type to buy though. I have read that the smaller ones are better since they are lighter. I don't want to buy something none of us will ever use.

What to do, what to do.

Okay! We won't talk about your send off day. The mtg at midnite sounds fun. Bring me a dole whip, will ya?

I will probably start packing at the beginning of August I guess. If I can wait that long. :hyper:

WM had nicer bigger misters but I just couldn't see us carrying them around so we got the small one. I figure there are plenty of water fountains at the parks, we can just stop and refill them.

Oh yeah, Dole Whips at midnight sounds fabulous!!!!!!! :cool1::cloud9::rotfl:

I was just joking about your hubby.... I knew you'd take good care of him! :) Besides, you have to come back from shopping with something for them so they don't notice all the "other" bags! :rotfl:

I don't know if your DH would like them or not, but we recently discovered "golf shirts". I'm sure I am way out of the loop and everyone else already owns or knows about them, but we just saw them a few weeks ago. They actually had a huge table of them at Sam's Club (yeah, I'm serious) in all kinds of colors. I think they were Izod brand too but I could be wrong on that. Anyway, my DH got two of them to try b/c he has to wear business casual clothes (polos and khakis) to work but he is out in the heat a lot. Well, he LOVES them. He told me to go back and get every color they had! The fabric is kind of slick/silky like (without looking sissy of course) and it claims to "wick away moisture." :scared: DH says they are much cooler than a typical cotton shirt. Anyway, just thought that might be something that would help you out too, if you hadn't already discovered them.

 Yeah, look what I got for you honey!! A pair of shorts, don't mind the other 5 bags of clothes for me. :rotfl:

Hmm.....I don't think I know what kind of shirts you are talking about. I'll have to be on the look out. Sounds like it would work well in the heat! I wonder if they make them for boys too?

I've seen them at Walmart too, although they aren't a name brand. Here's a link to the ones they sell at Walmart. Even if you don't want the generic shirts, this will still give you a description of them so you can look for them elsewhere. They are super lightweight and cool feeling. And they are VERY wrinkle resistant which is great for travel. If you read the reviews on this link, you'll see that other people really love them too.

Thanks for the link! I'll have to have him check them out. Or maybe I'll just buy them for him and stick them in the luggage.

Well I think Jodi has one more shopping update for you and then we are done with the shopping posts (for now :lmao:) and ready to move onto talking about food!

Disney Dining anyone? :mickeybar

:yay:

Sorry I have been MIA today-- I had to go to get the car worked on and then I went shopping again.

This post is a sort of quick hodge podge of a couple of things.

Ever since we've been staying onsite, I have done what I call Tinkerbell gifts for the kids. Every morning they wake up and see what Tink has left them over night.
Well this year it is harder. :headache:

First of all we are all staying in one room so getting the stuff put out is going to be a nightmare for me.
Second, they don't sleep as soundly as they used to.
Third--- we are only taking carry ons so I can't load them up with stuff like I have in the past.
And fourth.... they've all gotten so persnickity about what they will and won't wear and what they like and don't like. :snooty::sad2:
Part of their gifts used to be tshirts or outfits coordinated with what park we were going to and what characters we'd be standing in line to see. Well that's all over with now.

Here is what I have so far:

tink.jpg

Not much at all!! I used to get a whole suitcase full of stuff together for them.
So far what I have gathered for them is slim.
I will probably be getting them more stuff as we get closer to the trip- and definitely some new FL Gators stuff for the game we are going to.

Now- as far as shopping I've been doing the past couple of days-
I found this dress for belle and Paid $30. Went to TJ maxx the very next day and found it for $15! So that one went back.

And last but not least-- I just bought this dress today...

weddingdress.jpg

And I have a very important place to wear it to!!

After 10 years of my Daddy being gone...

My Mom is getting married in a few weeks and we are going to be there for their special day!:goodvibes

And oh heck--- I'll probably take it to WDW too. Just b/c I love it.:cloud9:

Have a good weekend everyone!!!!!!!

Next up is everyone's favorite subject...

I do not buy for DH anymore, he is a big boy now :rotfl:

I have been pointing out things to him , swim shorts, shirts, and shorts, even suitcases since he said he wanted to get something smaller but so far all he has bought was a package of underware :lmao:

Your excused from being absent since you were on a important mission, shoppping

You showed that TJ Maxx is the place to shop , wow half off, I would have been running to take the other one back too. It is so cute.

The one you picked up for your Mom's Wedding is adorable, I like it a lot :thumbsup2

Jo - I love your idea for the Tink gifts! :tink: It looks like a pretty good start to me! And Florida Gator things opens up a wealth of suggestions! If it wasn't for LSU football gift ideas, I wouldn't have had a single Christmas present for my FIL for the past 20 years!

The dress for Belle is precious! And saving half the price makes it even cuter! ;) Another TJMaxx success story! :thumbsup2

Your new dress is so cute, too. I won't say a word about the color, either. ;) Mostly because I love black and white, too. :thumbsup2 It must make you very happy that your Mom has found happiness again. I would imagine it causes some mixed feelings, but I think if it was me it would ease my mind to know my Mom wasn't alone. Not that any man can ever replace your Daddy, but I hope you have a good relationship with your new stepfather. :goodvibes So here's to the new :bride: and :groom:

Love both dresses, Jo! Beautiful! :goodvibes

Congratulations to your mom! My dad married again several years after my mom died, and I am so thankful. She keeps him in line. ;) (Seriously, she watches what he eats, and if she weren't there, I don't think he'd still be with us.) Anway, I hope you are happy to have him join your family, and I wish them many years of happiness!

Jo I absolutely LOVE both of those dresses! I may have to go in search for that one you got for Belle. I adore turquoise blue and that style of dress is so pretty!

Congrats to your Mom. I know that has to be a mixed bag of emotions for you. I hope they have a beautiful day for their wedding!

Yeah for 9 Weeks !!! :banana::banana::banana:

 Well underwear are a very important item for vacation!! ::yes:: :rotfl:

I love the dresses! You and Belle are going to look so pretty in them!

I hope all goes well with the wedding.

YAY ~ Disney Dining!!! :cool1: I'm looking forward to talking about that next!!

shelly...that's the boat we are in for packing down here too...we'll prob still be wearing our shorts down here when we go in Nov..so it's not feasible to pack the clothing too far in advance. Toiletries, snacks, stuff like that is a go, but we just pack the clothes a day or so before we go....

Jo...Love the dresses! And congrats to your mom and her new husband-to-be!

Now see when we went in November it wasn't a problem, it was cold here already and we were way past the shorts season!! :sad2:

But you're right, I should start getting my toiletries and all that together and ready since I'm going to have to wait on the clothes.

Those dresses are super cute. I'm really bad about returning stuff. I'm glad you weren't stuck paying twice as much!
