Who's Gonna Have More Fun? Two PTR's for the Price of One!

Morning girls! Whelp I am exhaustipated once again. Shopping has done me in and I am not finished yet.:lmao: I need a break from shopping.

Okay so well I'm trying to figure out what to show you today and I realized I haven't done shoes yet for our trip!

As I have said before, I have flat feet. FLAAAAAAT feet. Like, get out of the pool with a wet foot and put it on the concrete and there's no arch just a big blob of wet, flat feet. I also have pronated ankles that roll as well as little pinched nerves in between my foot bones caused from my flat feet. I had to wear special shoes as a child, because well, what can I say? I'm special.:rolleyes1

With all of that said---- walking a lot causes me a lot of pain so I am always on the look out for some shoes that don't make things worse on me. So what will I wear to the parks?

I think I have found the perfect solution!!!!!!!! These are my favorite all time shoes and I've decided to wear them every day:

bcbg.jpg

You believe me don't you?????:rolleyes1

Okay really, all of that is true about my feet. And it is true that I have a hard time wearing shoes.
HOWEVER... I love those dang shoes and try to wear them as often as I can. I just won't be wearing them into the parks.:lmao:

Here's my yellow box shoes that I adore -- I buy four or five new pair every summer and live in them. I wore them during my last trip in May and had no problems at all.
ybsilvergold.jpg

here's a close up-- in silver:
ybsilver.jpg

I will take the silver and black ones and the gold and brown ones.

I'll also take a pair of Tom's just in case I need them:
toms.jpg

That should take care of what I will wear in the parks.

As far as dinners and dresses- I love these shoes--- they are so comfy!
franco1.jpg

franco.jpg

And last but not least- a little project I'm working on for Belle. I have $2 flip flops for her from Old Navy that I am wrapping in ribbon to match outfits for her:
belleshoe.jpg

She won't wear them everyday- just when we won't be doing a ton of walking b/c I'm not sure how comfy they would be for her.

So that's it for me with shoes. Not as many as Shelly, that's for sure!:goodvibes

I like your shoes Jo!! Especially the high heels that you won't be wearing!
you say those dressy sandals are comfy eh? I might have to try something like that. They don't look all wobbly!

What a cute idea to do the flip flops! My kids would love that! They did wear flip flops almost the entire trip last July. I'm sure it's not great for their feet, but it was too hot for anything else.
Crocs flip flops are pretty nice - they had cushion and a little arch support. Paige wears hers all the time (well, when she can find them and I make her wear shoes).

Good morning ladies! :goodvibes

Beautiful jewelry Jo! :) I just love that MM necklace. :lovestruc Where did Mark get it? I want one!!!

Love the chunky necklace too. I bet it looks really nice on you. But I'm like Teri, I don't think it would look good on me. :confused3 Maybe because I'm shorter and need a longer necklace. IDK.

Anyway -- great stuff! :thumbsup2

I know, right?! :crazy2: It really wasn't too bad. Other than the continuous Justin Bieber music. :faint:

 I know, but it's sort of fun tormenting them!! :rotfl:

Thanks! :goodvibes

Ooohhh we could shop and then do a fashion show!! ::yes:: :lmao:

I think Mark got that MM necklace in the old shop in Germany that used to sell crystals. It's where the caramel shop is now. I think it was around $40??? I can't remember the price.

I *think* I remember seeing it in the jewelry shop on Main St too in MK, but I might be mistaken. It's made with Swarovski crystals- so if you see any place selling them, you'd probably be able to find one.

Justin Beiber music....:rotfl2: Belle would have been in heaven.:headache:

Cute jewelry ladies!!!
Jo - be careful that metal doesn't get too hot on your neck!! I love that mickey necklace! I may need to get one of those!

Shelly - oh the kid places!! I try to avoid them as much as I can. Lucky for me, DH gets home early afternoon in the summer and can take them somewhere before I even get home! Sometimes it's the arcade, the pool, the movies (which I like to do).

Thanks Sheree!:goodvibes Yeah--I don't think I will be wearing that huge necklace into the parks during the day. It would be another ten pounds added onto me, and you're right- the metal might burn the heck out of me. I'd better keep it for dinners. ::yes:: Good thought!:thumbsup2
Thanks Sheree!

I can see us all now with our matching MM necklaces!

:lmao:

Good Afternoon-

I am late and behind today since I had a Drs. Appt. then stopped at the drug store and grocery store for a couple of items.

Jo I love your taste in jewelry and the mickey necklace is very cute

Wonder what Jo will bring back from her shopping trip

Thanks Sheila!!:goodvibes
I only bought a couple of things yesterday-- nothing big. But I tried on twenty bazillion things. So I had a fun time.

I love the jewelry girls! I usually only wear a few rings so it's fun once in awhile to throw on something extra. You both will look great!
:goodvibes Thanks! It is fun to switch things up every now and then, isn't it?? My mom was never a jewelry person- so IDk where I get my love of it from. If it's big and shiny, I'm all over it. Maybe I'm part Raven???:lmao:
Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I went shopping!!

My shopping trip was accidental, though. Yeah, that's what I'll go with......

I went over to my GF's condo so we could walk on the treadmill together (we're getting some much needed rain). After I left, I decided to go to Marshall's since it's near her condo. I'm looking for a small chest of drawers or something similar for my DD's house. I bought her one from T.J. Maxx several months ago, but she really needs some more drawer space. Her bedroom is tiny, and her closet is even tinier. That's what you get when you live in an old house in an old city. Marshall's didn't have much furniture at all in stock. So.....I found myself in the shoe department! I found a pair of black Clark's sandals (so comfortable) and a pair of black sandals with a small heel. I am so bad at describing - I could wear the 2nd pair with capris or a dress. They aren't what I'd call dressy, but I wouldn't wear them with shorts.

Now I know my shopping trip isn't on the same planet as a Shelly or Jo shopping trip, but it was kind of fun buying something I wasn't even out looking for! And I did need them, I really did! And I have 2 people I can blame if my DH dares to say anything.

YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOP THE HECK OUT OF MARSHALL'S!!! I love love love TJ's and Marshalls. They are my favorites!!!
Yay for new shoes-- oh and yes, please do blame us if you get into trouble. It works for us, as you know. ::yes:::rotfl2:

LOVE the mickey necklace. It's something I could see myself wearing, when I do remember to put jewelry on.

I love places like Fun Center. Deep down I really want to go with the kids and play in those tunnels and slides, but I'm afraid of what others might think. :cutie: That, and a little grossed out about what kids *might* have done in there.

Speaking of acting like a kid, it was Fun Day yesterday at my school so I raced against a few of my students in one of those giant inflatables. I stopped after 2 though, I was already out of breath and had a scratched knee. :rotfl:

True. I'll try to remember that and be open to possibly buying *gently* used car.
You have battle wounds from the inflatables yesterday.:lmao: We just threw out our huge inflatable waterslide that the kids have had since they were tiny. It was so much fun, I even went down it once or twice. hum...Maybe it was my butt that caused those seams to pop last yr....:rotfl:
Oh Shelly, you're so organized! :worship: Color-coded time schedules, and even "red and blue make purple" coordination!

Love the jewelery, both of you! :)

Thanks so much!:goodvibes

And yes, Shelly-- you are sooooooo organized!:yay:

Shelly - I hate the thought of going for more plumonary testing but it's been a couple of years since the last ones, I go July 5th the Hospital called me this am with the appointment. I hope all goes well.

Jo - I love the shoes but I am just too fearfull to wear anything that leaves my toes exposed other than going to the pool. I have very high arches which can be hard to fit on certain styles of footwear.

Did not know you were so "crafty" Belles shoes are so cute. :thumbsup2

Well with the addition of Fantasmic every night I decided I better check out the park hours to see if anything had changed since the last time I looked. And it seems that DHS's hours have also been extended.

Here are all the park hours for our trips. Mine are in red.
Jodi's are in blue. And the days we overlap are in purple!

"Did you ever know that you're my hero. You're everything I wish I could be......."

You are soooooooo awesome I could just hug ya. I'm saving it right freaking now. Once again our differences are glaring me in the face. All my scraps of paper with scratched thru plans and ADR #'s and flt times and rental car conf #'s that are stuck in three different notebooks all over the place.......:rotfl2:

Oh my.:lmao:

We are excited!! But really it's not actually 4 days. She comes in late Thurs night, we leave Sunday around noon, they have a football game all day on Saturday, so really Friday is our only full day that we are both there!!

We are off to the dentist in a few minutes.

:confused3
I thought you were going to be awake when I got in at midnight to welcome me with a Mtn dew and a few hrs (at least!!!) of yapping????

:confused3
I mean, I'm planning on a big send off for you guys on Sunday. I demand a welcome wagon when I get there, dang it.
:confused3

:rotfl:

Ahhh, Friday.
Friday! Friday!! Friday!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Sorry you're at the dentist. ugh. Pain in the butt I mean, mouth, that it is.:headache:

I like your shoes Jo!! Especially the high heels that you won't be wearing!
you say those dressy sandals are comfy eh? I might have to try something like that. They don't look all wobbly!

What a cute idea to do the flip flops! My kids would love that! They did wear flip flops almost the entire trip last July. I'm sure it's not great for their feet, but it was too hot for anything else.
Crocs flip flops are pretty nice - they had cushion and a little arch support. Paige wears hers all the time (well, when she can find them and I make her wear shoes).

Yes!! Those wedges are absolutely comfy! I wear them shopping all the time!! You have to find a shoe that has a stable heel, like you said. They are just so great.

I have worn crocs in the parks a lot of times- they just don't really look too great with dresses. My kiddos will be wearing sperrys, some crocs, rainbows. All of those are what they wear every day anyway. I will take some tennis shoes but only to work out in. I hate wearing them in the parks-- they are so hot!

I decided to do Belle's ON flip flops like that only b/c I found the cutest ribbon with tink and MM and Minnie on them at Hobby Lobby. I got one of every color.:rotfl2:

Shelly - I hate the thought of going for more plumonary testing but it's been a couple of years since the last ones, I go July 5th the Hospital called me this am with the appointment. I hope all goes well.

Jo - I love the shoes but I am just too fearfull to wear anything that leaves my toes exposed other than going to the pool. I have very high arches which can be hard to fit on certain styles of footwear.

Did not know you were so "crafty" Belles shoes are so cute. :thumbsup2

Thanks Sheila!!!:goodvibes I am not crafty at ALL. I just had a moment of brilliance.:rotfl2: I usually make her pony tail holders with ribbons for when we go, but since she got all of her hair cut off she doesn't need them. Maybe I'll make myself some.:rotfl2:

I hope you feel better soon. I used to be an Allergy/Asthma nurse and it always was so tough when we had a patient in distress. I am praying for you.

YAY shoes!!!!! :woohoo: Love them all Jo! Especially that last pair! :thumbsup2

Belle's shoes are so cute!!

Oh I really want that necklace. ::yes:: I hope they still sell it! They still have that store in Germany, it's attached to the caramel store I think.

Sorry you're at the dentist. ugh. Pain in the butt I mean, mouth, that it is.:headache:

Okay, it's a party at midnight!! :cool1: We'll meet on the path between the GF and the Poly!!:rotfl:

But let's not talk about my big send off. :sad2: That is going to be one big fat depressing day.

We were at the stinking dentist for over 2 hours. :scared1: No cavities thankfully but I just hate getting my teeth cleaned. I'm glad it's over.

Here are some of the shirts the kids will be taking.

Sea :cool1:

Thanks Sea! :)

Yep, that mister actually makes more mist than the other one. You have to pump the bottom for pressure and then press the button for the mist to come out. So it doesn't take a battery. The other one takes a battery and makes a small mist, but it has the fan!

Shelly - Looks like you are all ready to pack.

Never used a mister, not sure in fact if they even had them back when we use to go in August. You will have to let us know how well they worked. The one that you pump sounds like a good idea since I can see the one with the fan that uses batteries going thru a lot of batteries in 10 days :rotfl:

I can see you and Jo meeting up on that path sometime after midnight, sounds like fun!

Glad the dentist visit went well for you and the boys.

I am ready to pack!!! :cool1: But I guess I better wait a little while longer before I start.....

Everyone says to get a mister for August, so I let them each pick one out. It will be interesting to see how much they use them. I guess I better pack extra batteries for DS12!

Hello Hello!!

shelly--- OMG-- all of those shirts could just go right into the luggage! You are all ready I think!!:goodvibes So, when do you think you will start packing???:rolleyes1
Love the boys' shirts. They are all so cute. And the misters... :faint:
I need to buy some. I don't know which type to buy though. I have read that the smaller ones are better since they are lighter. I don't want to buy something none of us will ever use.

What to do, what to do.

Okay! We won't talk about your send off day. The mtg at midnite sounds fun. Bring me a dole whip, will ya?

Holy Smokes!! I loooooove VB!!! Aaaaaannnd... I still have a gift card from Mothers Day to our local VB store!!!:yay: Might have to scoot over there this weekend and see what she has! I really love my backpack for the park...I had a cross body bag a few years ago and it kiiiiilled my neck...but they have changed them up since then...made them a little wider, so they don't just hang on the back of your neck...and I think maybe a few more pockets! I love organization!!!!
Shelly...you could def pack your stuff already!! Got your Mtn Dews and snacks bought yet? and dang,.. I am jeaaaaalous!! i wanna meet ya'll for that midnight gab session...how fun is that gonna be?:cheer2:

Love the flip flops Jo! I bought that same Yellow Box pair (the silver, gold, bronze mix) for my DD for our cruise! And my mom and I make those same kind of flip flops that you made for Belle. In fact we just made some yesterday for my DD for the 4th of July! We also make matching hair bows or headbands. You really can take a super cheap pair of flops and make them cute for very little cost. Here's the set we made yesterday:

IMG_1230.jpg

We've bought a ton of ribbon to make sets for her Disney outfits too. We are going to start on those this weekend. I just LOVE cheap, crafty and cute stuff like that!

Shelly, I think you are set girl! Love all the shirts for the boys! I just have one question.... does the hubby get anything new for the trip or is he on his own?

Well I am very behind today! No excuses, except maybe I'll blame my new Galaxy tab. ;) Words With Friends........very addicting.

Jo - do you have narrow feet? My DD has long, flat, narrow feet. We call them skis. We have to go to a shop about an hour from here for her to get any selection of cute shoes. (as in non-Mamaw shoes) A sensible pump is not what she is looking for! At least she can get by wearing most Yellow Box flip-flop types. I love the ones you have! The shoes you have for wearing with dresses are so cute. Do you have a silver pair and a gold pair, or are those the same color - I couldn't tell in the pic.

You did a great job with Belle's flip flops! That is such a cute idea. :thumbsup2

Glad your dentist appt. went well, Shelly! I'm with you - I hate going to the dentist, especially having my teeth cleaned. I developed dentist chickeness ;) late in life. I have to have nitrous to have my teeth cleaned. Shots I am not afraid of, and I don't need the gas if I'm having anything done that requires a shot. But that picking around during cleaning........:scared1:

That is quite a collection of shirts the boys have! I remember you showing us the TOT one your DS12 bought....last year? They both have some really cute, I mean cool shirts! I bet you won't be able to get them to wear their matching POTC shirts on the same day.

I agree with Sea - that is a strange-looking mister! Where are the blades? :confused3
