Who's Going To WDW For Christmas and Where Are You Staying?

We are going down Dec. 9 - 17 and will be staying at the Yatch Club. We are going to MVMCP on Dec 11.
Are you driving or flying from NS?:santa:

We will be flying. We have never driven down, seems like a mighty long drive, even though we don't have small children. I can always seem to find some sort of good deal to fly.

We're going Dec. 22- 26, then going to Ft. Myers. Now, if I can get the time off....

Dec 23 - 28, Staying at Hilton Grand Vacation Club Seaworld. But will definitely visit WDW though.

Dec.12- Jan 2 at FW in our travel trailer. This will be our fourth Christmas at WDW. Yes it is a long drive but well worth it. Fially finished my ADRs yesterday for the holiday week. I can hardly wait.:cool1:

We're going Dec 7-14, driving from the GTA! Staying at CSR, it really can't happen soon enough!

How are the crowds during Christmas? I keep reading that it is the busiest time of the year but we are really thinking about spending Christmas in WDW this year. Is the park open on the 25th? Is it too busy to enjoy?

The week between Christmas and New Years is very busy. We go to the parks very early or during EMH. During that week MK is often open until 3 a.m. Yes the parks are open every day , including Christmas Day but again crowds are large during the day. We spend the day at the pool or touring other resorts viewing the Christmas decorations.

we are going december 11 to 25. 3 days at port orleans river side then 4 day cruise then full week at horizons by mariott. can't wait!!!!:lovestruc

I will be there too! Dec, 29 to Jan. 5 at the ASMo. Bringing the kids for their first WDW trip (first of many I sure hope!) I am leaving my husband behind and going with my mother... all-girls princess: trip!

Driving, leaving on the 13th. 3 nights at The Poly, concierge...4 nights at Coronado Springs then The Beach Club for 4 nights...My husband wanted to try different resorts...

We are going Dec. 22-30th and staying at CSR.
We are flying from Buffalo instead of Toronto and the flights are 1000.00 total for 4 of us including tax. (toronto was 3000.00)
We have all our ADR's and days planned mostly but I am hoping to do less parks and more just resort touring and hanging around.
I hadn't thought about a christmas tree. Do people bring a tree for their room??
yeah for disney at christmas.

Will be staying in allstarr vacation home for 6 nights from December6 then into the yacht club for 4 nights.Booked our flight with southwest out of Buffalo, first time at disney for the christmas season. Dinning reservations all booked but as time gets closer may end up changing a couple of reservations, might add the mvmcp.First time in a deluxe stayed at the caribbean beach twice and loved it there but have read great reviews on the yacht club so wanted to give it a try any one been there lately if so do you have any pictures posted?

We are heading down for the first time on Dec 22 - 28th, out of Detroit and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Our flights are booked with Northwest for $1400 for direct flight for a family of 3.

Hi Mollyseven
Yes many people take a small 2-3 ft Christmas tree down with them,,I'm not sure how the new luggage rules are going to impact that but "I Really Need My Christmas Tree".Sons will just have to let mom share.

Another idea would be to take an inflatable Christmas yard decoration such as Mickey in the Present or a Christmas Pooh Bear.(takes up less luggage space).

People put small lights up in their room and a few Christmas decorations from home.(stockings ,door hanger, etc).

I did look at web sites including the Disney Florist but their prices run around 170.00 and up for a small decorated Christmas Tree.:scared1:

Also alot of people wear Santa hats or other Disney Christmas hats ,,so keep a look out for them at home as they can be quite expensive in the parks.

The Dis Design thread has some great Christmas art work which can be customized to make a few great t-shirts for the seasons,,nice people that do this free ,,please all they ask is that people remember to thank them.
Make a few Merry Christmas /Happy Holiday thank-you Mousekeeping / CM Envelopes and leave for your fav person,,,add a candy cane maybe.

Most dollar stores have wonderful supplies if neon glow sticks,,,empty out a water bottle --crack a few glow sticks (green and red) and you have instant ambiance.
Take a few Christmas cards from Canada and spread the cheer with the CMs that are working so hard during the Holiday season to make you stay so great,,,,last yaer we took Canadian pins and they loved it.

Most of all don;t forget your Microwave popcorn and hot chocolate,,yes it's Florida but who can refuse a hot cup of chocolate and popcorn during the Holiday season,,,,,ok enough of my ramblings

Have a great trip and enjoy planning
