I'm so excited that I purchased our May 31, 2008 Pirate and Princess Party tickets yesterday! Anybody else going that day?

We are going!! There will be 11 of us!! Can't wait...we went last Feb and had a great time!!

Count me in too!!! Me, my dbf, and dbff, (all either 21 or 22). I am SUPER excited for this, but have a lot of questions if you don't mind me asking (me and the search tool on here haven't been the best of friends)

I know for sure we want to dress up, and I would def. prefer taking the princess route (as I am Little Mermaid obsessed)- 1. Where are good places to look for costumes? 2. I'm worried about the overall look of ANY outfit I chose. I don't want something thats going to cover my whole body and kill me in the heat and make me look frumpy, but I don't want a skimpy thing with my heiney cheeks hanging out either. I'm pretty sure Disney wouldn't be too happy if I walked in with mermaid fins and a purple seashell bra... I'm going to need some serious help with the costume thing!

Does anyone know where past threads are that were more or less the "official" place to look at other pirate and princess party pictures?? I'm just interested in seeing other people's costumes and pictures of the party. I'm sure there must be a place where everyone has posted, but like I said, the search button hasnt been kind to me.

Lastly, (for now anyways) I'm seriously pondering adding a second day. We will be in Disney from May 27- June 5th. For sure we are going May 31 to the P&P Party, but I'm also looking at going the night before we leave, on June 4th. Is it worth the money to go twice in one trip? Will it be boring the second time around, or is there enough that going again is just as fun again?

Good questions, mermaid! We'll be there from 5/30-6/6. It's just DH and I on 5/31 and the whole fam (including our DS2, IL's, etc...) will be joining us, possibly for 6/4.

We loved MVMCP for the ride access and are thinking about doing it twice, too: once for the rides, then for the special stuff with the fam.

I doubt we'll dress up but there may be some pirate/princess t-shirts!

I got my tickets in the mail today. Disney was really on the ball sending them out!

I don't have them with me (I am at work) but it said that guests could dress in costume but that they didn't need to be offensive to other guests, no sharp objects, nothing that looked like weapons or could be mistaken for weapons and then it said something about not being able to see. I don't remember the last part exactly.

I would suggest that you look for costumes at www.disneyoutlet.com. Right now, they have several costumes for adults and kids on clearance. I am really unsure how to dress our 10 year old son. We are thinking about buying the Jack Sparrow costume but cutting off the sleeves or maybe even ditching the whole coat itself. We go every year in May and June and it's gonna be hot. I can't see wearing a long sleeve coat on May 31st.

We will be there! We too are VERY excited!!! There will be seven of us: Me, DH, DS15, DS13, DSis, DBIL, & DN5. We all plan to dress up. Even the teen boys *gasp.* We will be at POFQ from May 26 to June 2.

Got my costume in the mail today, I found a super cute little mermaid one!

I ended up adding the June 4th party as well, which means not only do I get to be Ariel, but now I can be a pirate on the other night

ok so i thought i'd do the pirate & princess party while i am there, but it doesn't show it happening while i'm there. May 24-29. i see other ppl say they will be going to it at the end of May but the dates i find on the site end in March. is it something i'd have to call and order ??

I do find it unusual that the tickes went on sale a while ago but they are still not posted on the Disney World website. Just call 407-W-DISNEY and tell them you want to purchase the tickets. You get a slight discounts (I think it was $2 or $3) if you purchase them in advance of the event.
