Who's going to be at WDW early March? Meet is a week away!

Okay, I'm just going to throw out a date and see how that flies! How about 3:30 PM in the AKL lobby. If folks think Mara would be easier, that is fine too. Pat, since you are sun sensitive, we probably should stay indoors somewhere! They do tend to move the furniture around, so it's hard to say a specific spot in the lobby there, but maybe down near the end toward where the steps go down to the ground level or maybe even down near the story firepit area. Let me know what you prefer. I'm thinking we should be pretty specific, since it IS a large place!

You threw out a time, but not a date. What date at 3:30pm?

LOL! I meant to say Monday the 3rd!

I'll be wearing my green Mickey head, and I'll try to remember to have Dick wear his DVC member hat too. Which bridge are you talking about, Pat? Do you mean the one that over looks the back windows? Or do you mean the one outside?

We'll be at the BoardWalk the first week of March. I have spring training baseball tickets for a couple of afternoons, so I'll have to double-check the dates. Would love to say "hi" to a few people if the day works for me.

One question: Is there any chance of being turned-away at AKL if you don't have a reservation or ADR? I know that resort has historically been more stringent than others in terms of discouraging people who don't have a specific purpose for being there.

We have never had any problem, and we have visited AKL nearly evey trip, even without dinner reservations. Just say you are going to visit some guests and give my name, since I will be staying there.

We can be there at 3:30 PM on Monday, March 3rd.

We have a 5:45 pm ressie at Crystal Palace in the MK, so can't stay very long.

We have sunset safari ressies that day too, so I know we will have to leave by 5:45 as well. That's why I thought 3:30 would be a good time to start. We usually find folks stay about an hour and a half to two hours, so that should work well.

on the lobby level the bridge over near the fire pits on that level - it is close to the steps going to the lounge (Victoria falls???) & boma

tiny little bridge.

coming into the resort lodge from outside parking - it is on left side - about 3/4 way to the back.

3:30 Monday - at AKV! thanks!!!

Never had a dismeet. What do you do? Hook up for dinner/lunch or something.

you do what you want.

Diane's are generally - do what you want - you can get a drink from the lounge or just talk and visit. up to you.

some meets are at dinner or lunch - just depends upon what the person starting the meet wants to do.

Yes, and while we usually meet at a place where food and drinks are available, we generally dont plan anything more specific than that, since we tend to have ours in teh afternoon. That way folks can usually make thier evening dinner ADRs.

I usually try to plan a mini meet for times when we are around. Our upcoming trip is March 1-6 at AKV and March 9-11 at OKW. If you are interested in a DVC/DIS meet during those times, let me know and I'll see what's available. It might be fun to meet at AKV this time. It's the only DVC resort we haven't attempted a meet at yet.

We will just miss you. We will be at SSR from Februry 23rd till thMarch 1st

We will be there from the 7th til the 15th. Looks like we will miss you folks by a few days, but we hope you have a great meet! Always fun meeting other DISers/DVCers.

Where are you staying? We will be at OKW from 9-11, so we do overlap some!

We are there from Feb 27th till March 7th.... But the 3rd is our Epcot day. We have dinner ADR's. We have only a few park days planned. Wish I could be there. It would be very nice to meet some more disers. Have fun:wave:

Darn, we'll miss you by a day. We are doing 3/2 and 3/3 at VB and arriving AKL on 3/4, but maybe we'll see you around AKV. First visit there and I'm really looking forward to it!
