We're staying at FW during the latter part of March. (22-27th) It will be our 1st stay at FW!! I was just wondering who else is going to be there too. How is the weather usually that time of year?

For those of who've been there what is the one thing (or 2) not to be missed? We're not planning on doing any of the major parks, mostly just enjoying FW.

We will be there! March 24-29th, which will be our second visit to the cabins:love:. We went at the end of October and fell in love with the place. We have visted Disney in March and October both numerous time and the weather is usually lovely both times of year. Azaleas are blooming in March and it's a welcome break from snowy Michigian

We will be there from March 23rd to April 2nd. We have been there 3 times that time of year. Every time the weather was great. Last year we had 2 days of rain. But there are plenty of things to do when its raining at Disney.

My kids love the campfire singalongs and the outdoor movie the most when were there. We like making sand castles at the beach. We like looping in the golf cart at night too. And the electric water pageant is pretty neat also. After the pageant you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach.

We're there from 22-27th - I guess I should add that to my post. Sounds like a good time of year. We're renting a 5th wheel, but would like to do a cabin sometime. We often go to WDW in October & love that time of year too.

We'll be there part of the time you're there. We visited FW once & rented a golf cart for the afternoon & drove around the loops. That was pretty fun. The fireworks on the beach sounds like a not to miss.

We will be there March 18 -24. I am so excited. My grandkids are coming too. There is nothing better than being at the Fort with my GRANDS.

My never miss thing is "Wishes".
You can see it from the beach at the Fort, but there is nothing like standing in front of the Castle to watch it.
It is absolutely breath taking!

I love Wishes & have seen it once but we're not going to any of the Parks so I'll have to settle for watching it from the beach at the Fort. Am I right in assuming that there is no soundtrack to hear wishes?

On days we don't visit a park, which is rare, we love to check out the resorts. The decor is so pretty and we like to have lunch at one of them. Last time we went to the Grand Floridian , had counter service and ate outside looking at the castle in the distance. We had the grand nieces with us who thought this was the best picnic ever...me too!

Sounds wonderful, especially seeing thru the eyes of the little ones. Our boys are still teenagers so we have much time before the grandbabies or grand nieces or nephews. I am looking forward to that time though! ;)

Aww you will miss us. We are going the first week of March cause that is when the kids are on Spring Break. It will be our first time at the Fort too.:cool1: I am so excited. Time is getting closer. The weather I am hoping will be good we are usually still cool during that time. And right now our winter stinks we havent had any good cool weather yet at all. I live 2 hrs south of Disney.

We had a ressie for March 2012 but had to push it out to late May 2012 (after Memorial Day).

In any case, spring is a wonderful time to visit the Fort.

We are renting a 5th wheel that will be delivered to Fort Wilderness. This will be our first experience with a 5th wheel. Can we come find you if we have any questions or problems? :rotfl: We are experienced campers & own a Coleman popup so this will be luxury for us.

I would offer that you should check out a spring training MLB game. The Atlanta Braves are there at Disney's Wide World of Sports but their tickets are pretty pricey. There are other teams in the Orlando area if you have a favorite and want to catch a game.

If your teens are gamers they might enjoy going to DisneyQuest over at DTD. I've never been but plan to go there on our next trip with our kids. We also enjoy a family game of Disney putt-putt over at Fantasia Gardens near Disney Studios. There are two courses - one is themed after Sorcerer's Apprentice/Mickey with all the silly holes/windmills/etc but the other is more like actual golf holes, longer, and I think better geared to older kids/adults.

Also, I would recommend a water park like Typhoon Lagoon (my fave) or Blizzard Beach. Late March can be warm (depending on where you're from) and I enjoy it when it's not too crowded.

Have fun with them. They grow up so fast. Mine are getting to the age where they won't be around much longer. Enjoy the time together. :grouphug:
