SORRY!! In my excitement to get the heck out of Dodge (and on the way to the Fort!) I mixed up the days.

Hey I don't want to throw a wrench in the works, but Toy Story 3 is that night. We won't be there until after the movie probably. If we can get a seat.

I am getting so excited about leaving for the Fort on Thursday. I have been cooking, washing clothes, and plan to pack Wednesday night. DH and FIL will be leaving Thursday afternoon in the MH when DS#2 and DS#3 get off of school. I will be driving Thursday night with DD and DS#1 when they get in from college. We are hoping to drive straight through to the fort by changing up drivers as needed.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone Thanksgiving night at 8pm on the beach. I will bring a large bottle of white merlot to share and some cheese and crackers (if the kids don't get into it first ).

After 11 months of great planning we may have to cancel our first Thanksgiving trip to FW. I’m devastated. I’ve put so much into this trip and coordinating holiday meals and events to have it come down to the wire and may have to give it up. My Mom is in the hospital because she refused to go to the dr. when she got sick last week and now has pneumonia. My Dad has memory issues and can’t be left alone if I go out of town. So I’m waiting to see if she has a last minute rally and will be released before we leave. I could just cry. I’ll keep you posted. Send wishes for a speedy recovery, please.

I'm sorry to here that your mom is ill. Pneumonia can be tough on the elderly. I hope she recovers quickly.

I don't know that we'll make it. Our ADRs at 1900 PF are for 7:20. We are celebrating Thanksgiving and our twins 7th birthday there. My DH was worried about me making something too early and missing it, so 7:20 it was.

We'll be sure to check when we get back and see if anyone is still there.

UPDATE: Pixie Dust must be working that everyone is sending. Today Mom seemed much better with her breathing. She has no heart blockage and her pneumonia is almost cleared up. She may get to go home in a few days. Since FW is just 90 minutes away I may get to make the trip even if I have to make a home visit once during that time.

UPDATE: Pixie Dust must be working that everyone is sending. Today Mom seemed much better with her breathing. She has no heart blockage and her pneumonia is almost cleared up. She may get to go home in a few days. Since FW is just 90 minutes away I may get to make the trip even if I have to make a home visit once during that time.

Update: Looks like we will be heading to FW as planned. Visited Mom at lunch and her lungs are clear, they took her catheter out and she is allowed up. They are moving her to a regular room today and she may be released tomorrow or at least by Friday. We leave on Monday at noon so that gives her time to get some strength back.
