Who's going in January--what to do

We booked our trip to BCV in January and just wondered what everyone does in the evenings, especially since the parks close early. There are 8 of us (two little ones who will be in bed early).

I've been once in mid Jan. , once in very early Feb, and once is late Feb. so I know all about cool evenings and early park closures. IMO you are staying in a great location because you can stroll into Epcot each evening if you have hoppers. Epcot is open until 9pm even in slow season so always something to do or enjoy there. You will be close to the Boardwalk for those restaurants and entertainers but be warned if it is too cold the buskers don't come out (sometimes they are in the lobby). We have down shopping at DTD to pass the time too. I haven't stayed at BC but over at BWI there is a nice hotel bar where you can play chess/checkers/cards while you enjoy your beverage. Don't forget the movie theater at DTD.

Strolling Epcot and the Boardwalk are our personal evening favs!
