Who's buying The Beatles Rockband 09/09/09?

Not to go off topic from the Rock Band game, but thought some of the Beatle fans here might like to see the results of first day sales of the remastered cds.

Poor Whitney, she makes a comeback after all this time and look what she's up against!

Wow. I feel like a long lost love has returned. It still makes me sad that they can never all play again. But we have their music! :goodvibes

Ringo is one of my big influences in my drumming. There are 3 actually:
1. Ringo
2. Charlie Watts
3. Keith Moon

Very cool! Did you get it on 360?

DD19 is also a HUGE fan of The Who and Keith Moon.

We got the Beatles Rock Band for the Wii.

It did get a little more difficult after my last post. Have a new appreciation for Ringo, as there is some more complex stuff going on in the latter songs.

Unfortunately RB2 has not been released in Australia as of this time, and I now doubt that it will be. I'll probably end up importing from the UK as the regions are the same.
Hardest song is probably I wanna be your man just because its a fast beat. There are no fills so you can't take a break and slow down a bit. There really isn't anything that technical about his drumming. Its mostly a 4/4 the entire game with the exception of a few songs that have a swing beat. The difficulty of the beatles is them harmonizing not the instruments they are playing.
If you have PS3 you can get the game from any country.

I finally bought it about an hour ago. I making the girls play with me. So far I love it!

Moon--If you don't have a gaming system consider getting a Play Station 3. I bought one last year for the sole purpose of playing Blu-Ray discs. I had
no intention of playing video games. It's a great Blu-Ray player and now I can use it for Rock Band. Dunno that I'll ever be any good at it, I just wanted to have it as part of my collection.:)

That would give me an excuse to buy a gaming system. Great idea!

Now, seems that this thread is composed mostly of Beatles/Disney obssessed people. How about if both passions came together?

Well......it looks like it's happening :banana::banana::banana:

Disney to remake The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine

* New film to incorporate 16 Beatles songs, recordings

* Project unveiled after release of remastered albums

By Sue Zeidler and Gina Keating

ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept 11 (Reuters) - The Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) on Friday announced a deal with The Beatles' company, Apple Corps, to remake the band's movie "Yellow Submarine" in 3-D, extending the Fab Four's presence in the 21st century.

Moon I'm seeing a lot of negative comments on this on Beatle-related forums.
Just as people lament the changing of anything Disney, Beatles fans do the same thing!

I'm more optimisitic, and think it could work out well. At least we'll have the original version if we hate the new one. When they change a WDW attraction there's not turning back.:earsboy:

Micca, I can understand the negative comments. When you love something (esp something that has been around for so long) you want it to remain intact.

I've seen the movie only once, on broadcast TV years ago; to be honest, it was a tad too weird for me. Is not among my favorite Beatle things, so I'm open to see what Disney does with it.

Disney to remake The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine

Thank god someone on here is talking about this! My sister sent a text yesterday but I didn't see anything on the boards about it so I wasn't sure if it was something widely known yet or not. I personally love the old version in all its weirdness, but I'm also excited to see what Disney will do...as long as they don't screw it up.;)

ETA: Wait, no I just read the article. Gosh darn Robert Zemeckis to heck! I HATE that motion capture animation and was just ranting tonight about how gimmicky and terrible it is. BLAH! Now I'm POed.

My mom took me to see the Yellow Submarine when it was first in the theaters.
Thought since it was cartoon was okay for kids...had nightmares about the blue meanies for weeks!
