Who's at AKL now or just been?

Can anybody who is at AKL right now tell us what it is really like there with the construction. Hearing such mixed reviews about it being shutdown and then partially shutdown. Be interested to hear from somebody who is actually there. May put the minds at rest for those of us who are yet to go?

We're not staying there, but we went to Boma a few nights ago and sat in the Sunset Savannah Lounge while we waited for our table to be finished. You could see the construction off in the distance, but it really wasn't intruding on the savannah itself.

I didn't get to see the view from the Arusha or Uzima savannahs.

Dave, can you describe what you saw a bit? Was the construction on the left hand side of Sunset Savanna?

we actually just missed the major construction(we went in May), but Ive heard they are now actually re-routing guests with reservations to other resorts because of construction

Does the resort seem less full since they've closed off parts of it? Are there just as many animals roaming the savannah or have they moved some out? Would also love to hear from people just coming back.

Yes, I would be interested in hearing about it as well. We have reservations for Boma and I have a few concerns... Will we see any animals? Will there be adequate transportation between AKL and the parks?
