I am sooo excited! I just booked our vacation for June 18th for ten nights at POFQ! I got an awesome rate, the CM was very nice. Thank you for the hotel info, we are looking forward to trying it out! See you there everyone going in june.... ( If we unthaw by then...blizzard of '05 is rough! )

Well i had called last week following the boards advice to see if there were any "pins" associated with my name in their computers. I did and got an okay rate, and then waited to book playing with the dates. Today I called back to check on the delux rates vs mod rates with my pin, and they were $25 less a night for the mod over last weeks rate ( Final rate is 79/night) So i jumped on it and booked! I have seen rates lower on here, but that was good enough for me! The CM said the pin was in my file, and should be sent to me either in email or postcard as well. I told him i had not recieved anything, but he said it was okay because it was in the system. I am so excited... Its so darn cold here 0 degrees today!

Ok just got off the phone with Disney and YES I MEAN YESSSSSS I got it!! they had some openings wooooohooooooooooo!!!! and for the same great rate of 79 a night!!!!!! THANKS !!!!!!

What do you mean if there are any "pins" by your name in the computer? I would love a lower rate too.

When they send the "special" postcards or emails, there is a pin number on them in order for the recipient to get the special rate. The pin number is in Disney's computer. Some people have been able to get the discounts by calling and asking, because they have a pin number with their name.

How does one get a postcard? I'm staying for eight nights in March and didn't know anything about these postcards with PINs. I did receive a DCL postcard recently. Was there a PIN on that?

We have stayed at the POFQ twice and loved it both times... would stay again but we are getting a great rate at the Shades of Green.....enjoy..the grounds are so beautiful to walk around - and there are courtyards for the kids to play in...everything is close by...

Hi - I have a question re: pins. My mother who never goes to Disney - ugh - got a postcard with a pin. Can she book a room with her credit card for me? Like she is giving it to me as a gift. . . the card says non-transferable, but I was wondering if that counts gifts. Anyone know?

Even though "officially" you are not supposed to use the pin from someone who is not travelling in you party, or staying in your room you could probably still book the room with the discount. When I was on the phone with CRO last night I ask the Cast Member to check and see if a PIN was associated with my name. Well, I didn't have any luck. However, she checked under every family member with my last name associated with me. She said if she found a PIN number associated with another family member she would use it. I was thrilled that she went this far out of her way to check for the PIN. However, still no luck. I must say the Disney Gods were not with me last night.

If I were you Angie I would try it. If CRO takes the PIN and makes the reservation you are golden. Remember when you check into your resort they don't ask you for the PIN again. your rate is locked in. Also, it can't hurt to ask CRO. All they can say is no. But, I bet the Disney Gods will be with you.

You should just call and ask. Would not hurt you to ask them and have your mom available so that if they tell you yes, you can do it. Of course, the answer is most likely going to change from CM to CM.

I got a postcard Value resorts are 59 moderate are 79 a night. But you also can use the pins to get discounts on other resorts. We boooked Beach club in July for 219 a night, the room usually goes for 334. So we off to the mouse house again.
