I had been trying to grab a night (NYD) before our package starts on Jan 2 for about a week now. Nothing showing up but deluxes or Ft. Wilderness. Since we're at YC stating on Jan 2, I really didn't want to spring for another night there at $325 rack (only thing available). I jsut lucked up and grabbed a room at POR, total cost was $167 with tax. Had a bad experience at POFQ so I'm hoping that this will be better. I had been looking at the Hilton at DTD but with AAA by the time I added parking and tax it would have been this much or more, so at least we'll already be on property! Now, to keep it a secret from the girls, hee hee!

have a great time~

if you can afford it - go for Dec 31, too - so you can see the fireworks!!!

well take that back - looks like the same stuff for the first week of Jan too.

Don't you love surprising the kiddo's?!??! :thumbsup2 So glad you found a room! :cool1:  Maybe you will get lucky and get into the Yacht Club for a better price if you keep checking.

Hopefully we will see you there!

PS My outgoing email has been down for the last few weeks so I haven't been able to send out a response to your last email, sorry. Headed to the Apple store today to see if they can help.........

Unfortunately, DH won't be able to find anyone to work that shift in the ER(NYE night, yeah right). One of the guys was nice enough to take NYD night, otherwise we'd be late on the evening of the 2nd coming in. THanks for the good vibes though. So, you think they'll be doing the super fireworks all week long? All right!

right now the schedule
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/jan08.cfm?requesttimeout=1000

is the same - but you know disney always open to change.

that also means that almost as many guests will be there that week as the week before.

so it has it bad points. but hey if your family can rest, swim in the afternoon and go back to the parks that evening. You should be fine.

That's what I'm afraid of, huge crowds. We go frequently enough that we don't push ourselves, but I would like to see the "new" HM and hopefully hit a soft opening for SE. We only have one dinner scheduled in a park, all the rest are at resorts, so that's not too bad. We tend to do MK in the mornings, avoid it after lunch. I would like to see the castle lit up since that's something new. Are Wishes different at Christmas?
