This will be our first stay at the Contemporary, i'm so excited. We could only afford a wing room but hey it's still the Contemporary! We're going April 16th-19th for my daughters 4th birthday. Whoo hoo!

Have a great time! We loved our stay in a wing room. Ask for a North wing room with a view of the FIREWORKS! :goodvibes

Sounds good to me :sunny: . We stayed in the North wing and the kids loved watching the electric parade every night before bed. Enjoy :earsboy:

We are staying there, too! I can hardly wait! :cool1:

We too can not fork over the big bucks to stay in the tower plus they said it was booked so I did not have to stress over it too much! :) DH still thinks we are staying at POP. I have kept it a secret from him so I can surprise him! He will be so thrilled as long as I can keep my ::MickeyMo trap shut! :bounce:

I asked a few questions on the CR thread but so far no answers so I will repeat them here.

Are there coffe makers and coffee, enough for each morning of our stay, not just a packet or two? What kind of coffee mugs do they give you? I have heard stryofoam and DH will not really appreciate his morning coffee out of that! :rotfl: Yet I really do not see packing ceramic coffee mugs in our plane suitcases!

I was told there is a refrigerator in every room but others have said that there are not,so which is it? :confused3

Also what rooms do you recommend? I see the North Tower is closer and that is better since my parents are elderly and can walk but not for long distances. We plan on getting a resort wheel chair and using it for length of stay. I hope this works. My father wants a MK view so what do I ask for and when or how do I ask? :confused3

Thanks for any information in advance! Now that I have a crude ticker working again I can watch my time drag by while I pack! :cheer2:

I can verify. I was in the North wing last August. They were putting fridges in all of the rooms.

Sorry I missed the rest of the questions.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but you might want to ask for the closest room (to transportation).
My father has bad knees and was having a terrible time walking. My brother-in-law told them this and they were upgraded to the tower! This was on our 03 trip.

At a minimum, I would request North Wing, MK view.

One more thing. If you get the North Wing, MK view, you can turn on channel 21, or 22 and the music to wishes is piped in during the fireworks.

Craig ~ Thanks for the information on the TV channel! I did not know that!

I will ask to get as close to transportation as possible. Maybe we can get upgraded too! That would be unreal! :cool1: And even if not it will save a bit of walking a couple times a day!

You're quite welcome. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Please let us know how your trip went when you return! 12 days!!!!

Yes! give us an update when you get back home! :wizard:

We will be there Dec 3 until Dec 11th, Tower.

Can't wait! :cool1:

Thanks for the info on the tv piping in the music, how neat! Is CR one of the hotels that dont take fax requests anymore? Should I make my North Wing MK view request when I call back to get my Fl res rate for the 17th-19th?

We are going on the 16th of April which is the last night of peak season, when new codes come out for april 17th and on, I will call back for the last 2 nights. Right now, I am paying $174 plus tax for a standard wing room. Will probably pay $149-$154 for it the 2nd two nights when the codes come out.

Wow! Must be nice to live in Mickey Country! Those are great prices!
I faxed them my last vacation, and recieved nothing (but expected nothing as well). What could it hurt? I'd fax them.

We just booked the CR in a tower room for September 11-16. We can't want this is the trip we have DREAMED of for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

So are there fridges in the tower rooms as well???

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

When I made our reservations for the Contemporary the cast member said that there were refrigerators in all of the rooms, but I was reserving a wing room.
