We're taking our 14 month old daughter to Disney next weekend and are wondering if we'd be able to get whole milk in the TS and CS restaurants, or if we'll need to bring milk with us?? Thanks in advance for any info! :cool1: We're SO excited to go back with her -- we took her last year at 8 weeks old, so at least she'll be able to experience more things this year!

I am not sure - but I saw mostly 2% on our trips when our kids were younger. If your child is in good health - 2% isn't going to hurt her during a week or two trip (even though your ped. might 'recommend' it for another year or so). Ask your pediatrician and I'm sure he/she will agree.

No way would I worry about bringing it!

We went to WDW when my son was 14 months and again when he was almost 18 months. We found whole milk at the resort food courts (Pop Century and Port Orleans French Quarter), but at counter service restaurants we were just given 1%. I'm sure we were given 1% at table service restaurants too, but they brought a glass, so I didn't see what kind of milk it was. Both trips he was absolutely fine and drinking 1% milk didn't seem to bother him at all. Have a great trip, I was amazed how much he seemed to enjoy the parks each trip and he LOVED the characters--cried when it was our turn to leave. :goodvibes

most places serve 2percent. There are a handful of places at counter service where i know you could opt for the much larger container of whole milk but it was huge and double the price and more than i could fit in a sippy cup/ One week of 2percent won't kill her.

I don't know - but my experience at restaurants in general is that they usually don't carry it, but you can add a little cream to the 1% which is typical to bring up the fat level. My twins always seemed to love that. Also another poster indicated that it probably wouldn't make a difference for a week and I agree. My kids love skim just as much as whole, and I suspect your dd will get more fat from other food sources while on vacation than she would at home. I hope you all have an awesome time. I cannot wait for myself 9 days!
