Who will be watching Emily Maynard the Bachelorette? No Spoilers PLEASE

Jef said very clearly when he turned down the Fantasy Suite that their "public" relationship unwittingly involved their families, too. And what they do reflects on them. So I can see him being more reserved in public.

I think so too. Jef isn't Arie with his hands all over her and trying to inhale her face with every kiss. Though there were one or two kisses with Jef that were passionate, I think he was careful and mindful of the cameras rolling and the families who'd be watching.

Their relationship has always progressed slower physically. If this was a real, off-camera courtship, and all paws Arie and the other guys weren't in the picture, it would have been a "normal" progression for these two. You even made the comment how disgusting Arie was being all over Emily all the time, the way the show was edited.

It has progressed slower. But it made it more real life. I thought it was strange and a bit much that Arie was all over her from day one. I'm trying to erase those smacking lip sounds from my memory whenever he kissed her.

As I recall, she actually said that she would go with him to the Fantasy Suite, as long as he & the viewers understood it was only to spend more time with Brad and that all they were going to do is TALK. Basically, she was going to leave the way she kicked out Sean & Jef.

That's how I remember it too.

I'm sure Emily would have liked it to progress a bit faster physically, but in the END, she did pick Jef. So she proved as much as she was more physically attracted to Arie, she went with her ultimate values than with her "pecker."

When one of the gossip magazine interviewed one of Brad's siblings, during their relationship, one of the BIG bones of contention was that Brad wanted Emily to pick everything up & move right away to live him TX with him. He was livid that she wouldn't just pick up Rikki and move there.

Didn't they say something about that too during the finale with Brad and Emily? I thought so. Maybe not? Remember too that he sent Ashley home packing when he realized she didn't mention moving to his hometown on the fantasy suite date.

Emily wanted to get her own apartment there and live separately. That was the most she would do. She wanted to progress slower, and travel back & forth until their relationship was on firmer ground, so as not to uproot Rikki during all of their turmoil.

Which turned out to be a very smart move. Emily isn't stupid, she's pretty astute and I think she knew that Brad wasn't going to compromise.

I always knew that whoever ended up with Emily would be the one to have to move to be near her.

I don't know, I got the impression that she'd be willing to make the move. However, it seems Jef is aware of how that might impact Ricki's life and sense of normalcy so he's making the move instead.

Nope. I just reiterated (above) what Callie said. That's why Emily was so furious when she realized Brad & Chantal spent the night together too, but they didn't just TALK like the two of them did.

They were more compatible in so many other ways. But, Brad wanted to please his family and get the girl his family approved of and wanted to fit in with them. They wanted Emily & child to be going on outings with them, PTA meetings & such. Hence, why I think Brad was so gung-ho on Emily & Rikki moving in right away and becoming that instant family that they wanted for him.

He's one of those guys pretending to be something he's not. I'm glad things didn't work out for him and Emily, especially considering that Ricki would've been involved too.

I only recognize a handful of them, and I have watched every season. Erica Rose needs to go soon. I couldn't believe when she referred to the fans as being like the "help". She is getting old and worn looking, yet still thinks she is a prize.

Ok, Arie showed his true colors. It's his bruised ego that suffering right now, not his heart. Did you see how he reacted to Emily? All snippy. Slamming the door too. Can you imagine Jef acting that way if she rejected him? It's all about Arie, him him him.

Emily you are one smart cookie!

Remember Sean's exit? So classy and more concerned with Emily's being upset. He said he wanted her to be happy. Not like Arie who said all he does is give, give, give and get nothing back. I'm so glad Emily saw the light. My guess is she'll be watching this tonight and resting in her decision to choose Jef.

She is not good at the break-up. With Sean she did the same thing, just sit and stare. Ari did deserve an explanation, and to say, "If I hadn't met Jef, you would be the one." is not good enough.

I'm happy it's Jeff - I think it is all physical with Ari, but I still think he deserved more.

That seemed so disjointed I feel like we missed a big part of the story.

Those are exactly my thoughts! The d-list bachelors/bachelorettes were all in a huff because THEY are so gloriously famous. There's at least a couple I had no idea who they were. I agree, Erica Rose is bizarre. Maybe her tiara is on too tight.

Nooo, not really.....maybe. Chris is really slimy too, he's fresh off his big broken heart from Emily and already talking about trading in one bachelor pad chick for another like they're cars. Disgusting.

I hated the audience back and forth too. Maybe they did that because she never went on the final date with Arie so they needed time filler? Still, I hated it.

yes. those people are bizarre and really think highly of themselves. i never watched the Bachelor Pad during previous seasons. i thought more people here would be watching and we'd chat. frankly, that's what helps me get through Bachelor/Bachelorette (although, i did not watch Ben's season--just read here) and American Idol.

Erica Rose is kuckoo for cocoa puffs.

He asked them about Arie and his relationship with Jef and how weird that was especially after Jef went to Charlotte to stalk Emily. They told Jimmy that Arie did not know that Emily had picked Jef. HE thought that she didn't pick either one of them. So ... poor Arie got a double whammy on Sunday night of not only seeing the woman he love dump him on national TV but to find out that he lost her to one of his best buddies who had been hiding it from him for the past 2 months.

I'm not a big Arie fan, but I feel extra sorry for him now.
