who was lucky to get wait list after the 30 days

I am in to the 7 - 30 day wait list time now
was wondering how many people were lucky enougt to get theres in this time frame
and what is the last date you can wait list too


we have a studio booked at WLV but hoping to get a 1 bedroom there

I got my October waitlist after the 30 day mark passed. Went on the waitlist on 8/2/2008 for a 1 bedroom at the BWV (any view) for Saturday, 10/11.

Waitlist came through for a Pool/Garden 1 bedroom on 9/18/08, which was 23 days prior to arrival. I got back on the waitlist for a Standard view for that one night on Monday 9/22 (hoping we wouldn't have to move for our last night). But I am not hopeful for that - just happy we won't have to change resorts for just the one night.

You can stay on the waitlist until 7 days prior to arrival. (You do have to request that. If you don't, then your waitlist expires at the 31 day mark).

When you get within 7 days of arrival, there are no waitlists. If you still want somethig, then you have to call peridoically and hope to get lucky.

Hope your waitlist comes thorugh.

Haven't received our waitlist for BW view yet. Shouldn't complain too much tho as we do have preferred view for 10/16 to 10/19 at BWV, and I know many can't get in at all.

We booked a last minute reservation within 30 days and they were able to pull an SSR room to complete a three day ressie Oct 2-5. We waitlisted everywhere else since we were doing 12 days in Nov at SSR. On day 9 OKW came through, we waitlisted again at other resorts and on day 7 AKV Savanna view came through (all these were studios).

My waitlist came through after the 31 day mark. We had been waitlisted since the 7 month mark for 2 nights at BCV in a one bedroom. We had a ressie for BWV but we would have to move as we were staying the first 3 nights at BCV. It finally came through. We were even able to add a night to the beginning of our trip. So now we have the entire 6 nights at BCV in a one bedroom. No moving. Yeah.

Well, we got lucky! Hooray! Wait list for the SV came through earlier this week.

I now have 5 points in holding which I will not be able to use before they expire. But I don't mind - worth it to stay in the same room the whole week.

Hoping someone else on the wait list got the PV that we canceled.

I feel like jumping for joy. In late August we decided to make a quick trip for Columbus Day weekend. We were able to get some of our dates but not all at SSR in a 1 bedroom. We went on the waitlist and made back-up reservations at Pop Century. One by one the days became available and I became obessed with checking the member website at least twice a day. We were down to not having October 12th and had resigned ourselves to moving during the vacation. I checked today and we are in for the entire stay!! I was so excited, I called Member services to just make sure it was correct before I called Central Reservations to cancel Pop. I couldn't believe how stressed I was about moving for that one night. Someone was sprinkling pixie dust this week for me.

Can someone tell me if your waitlist comes through, will it show up on the DVC website or do you have to call to find out or wait to receive a paper copy in the mail?

Hey! We're also staying at VWL (11/2 to 11/7) in a studio and are waitlisted for 1 bedroom. Are we waitlisting at the same time?

We went on the waitlist for BCV, BWV, and VWL on the day we booked OKW at the 7 month window......

We got nothing on any of them.....1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, studio....

So we go to old key west.....by no means a bad thing.....but unfortunately it does take some of the shine off when you don't get what you REALLY wanted.....and we were not too selective - as you can see.

Oh well.... I guess that's the way it is in the world of timeshares

I did not receive any call or paper confirmation from Member Services when my waitlist came through. If you have back-up reservations somewhere else make sure you check the website often. At the 7 day time frame, I think you have to call instead of being on the waitlist.

We wait listed for a BCV studio on 10/24 and 10/25 (friday and saturday) at about the 4 month mark. I had made ressies at VWL for 10/19 thru 10/26 and wanted to switch the last 2 nights to BCV. It showed up on the member site last week. Made my day, now DD and I can walk to and back from the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K race on saturday night! Not to mention we can enjoy SAB for a few days too.


Does anyone know if they mail out the normal confirmation letter when a wait list comes through?

Once I called 3 days out and my waitlist didnt come through... I was bummed.

Then at Check in, I was told my waitlist HAD just come in

How's that for short notice.
