It will be the one between Theodore Dawes and Hwy 90.
You mean Carol Plantation?

5er, since I am the last one to arrive, I bet tiggerdad will settle up on my bill when he arrives so they'll just wave me on in. I won't even have to slow down going through the gate.
You're right - this IS pretty exciting!

A clue to a good seafood restaurant is it has oyster shells paving the parking lot in back.
If you get the chance try the Cactus Cantina. They have real Tex Mex food. It's on 59 about a half a mile south of the camp ground. Also the Island Wing Company is close to it.
Is the Cactus Cantina just across the parking lot from the movie theater, Bum? I think that is where I saw it tonight.
Honestly, it feels strange being in Gulf Shores and not staying at the State Park. But I headed over to my favorite deserted stretch of beach where State Park Road #2 terminates on the Beach Highway near the campground entrance and the blue water tank.
Yellow flags were out today for a medium strong surf.
I followed the board walk:
Turned the corner and I could see the ocean. It was breezy but not bad.
There was only ONE other couple on the beach as far as the eye could see. Like a meerkat I turned and setup my chair to face the sun and feel the warmth on my tummy facing westward.
Nothing behind me facing eastward.
A mild surf was in front of me.
Here is my Gulf Shores version of the "Kicking It" picture.
Some things were around to see like shells and birds.
Oh and lots of blue sky.
Time to turn in. I will pick it up tomorrow before I leave for Pensacola.
