Who wants to stay at BLT "one day" but has no desire to own there??

I have seen all sorts of threads about BLT so I thought I would post this. I hope to stay there to "try it out" at some point, but we have no plans to ever own there. I would stay 2 or 3 days when I want to enjoy the MK area, but would not stay a full week. Just curious as to others that are excited about it being there, will try and stay but aren't planning on owning there. So please no negative posts. I just want to know if other DVC'ers are excited that another DVC resort is hopefully availalble to us....... to stay at, in the future.

The nice thing about DVC is that there is something for everybody. We will give BLT a try, but for us, the theming isn't our favorite. We won't be buying.

When there were talkes of BLT back when they made the announcement for AKV, I asked DH where would you rather add on, AKV or BLT. AKV was our decision. I definitely want to stay there, but not so sure on owning there. Can't wait for THV's at SSR!!! I'd love to also stay at the Poly if that comes to fruitition, but not sure I'd buy there either.

I like the fact that there is a new DVC resort to try one day, but am not in a rush. I usually travel in not-so-busy seasons for DVC so I take my chances and have been lucky to have stayed at all the Disney-based DVCs since I became a member 3 years ago.

I think 2-3 nights sounds about perfect if we stay there in the future.

I am in the one day and out category. I would like it for the day I go to the MK, but I prefer OKW for my long term stay!

I'd only want to stay one night MK view, and with only 20% of the rooms with MK view, I'm guessing that will never happen at the 7 month window. I wont be crying about it though.

At this point, one day is the best I can hope for. We already have enough points and in today's financial climate, I'm too nervous to spend more money on non-essentials. I would love to buy 100 points on Sunday. The place looks amazing to me. It's just not going to happen.

I think I'll buy 1200+pts so I can stay in a GV for a week over the Xmas holiday.
I think we'll try it someday, but doesn't appeal to us that much right now. I'll wait for the euphoria to die down. Not like we're park commandos anymore.

I'm with you. I want to stay at all the DVC resorts including BLT one day, but my resort of choice is AKV. I'm so glad we bought there. DD is going to love the animals at her window!

I'm one. I might want to stay there one night at the beginning or end of a stay just to check out the resort and see it, but I don't want to own there. I bought where I feel "at home" and where I love to stay. BLT just isn't my cup of tea.

I am in no way bashing it though - I realize there are others who don't like my "homes" - to each his own!

I LOVE SAVING MONEY! IMHO, AKV is a better deal!

One day after all the "excitement" dies down, lets' hope non BLT members can get a chance to stay at 7 mos out..

If not, oh well...I just saved a significant amount of money by buying at AKV!
Today's economic climate, saving money is a great thing!

I'll eventually try and stay at BLT with a MK view for a night or two in the future but I currently do not have any plans to add on there. I originally thought that I would want to buy into BLT but realized quickly that what I really wanted was an add-on at AKV. I'm very pleased with owning at AKV and my dreams of staying at BLT-MK view will be added to my wish list of future stays just like a BWV - BW view and VWL at Chritmas time.

We would be day-trippers to BLT. I could see us doing a day and going back home to SSR or BCV.

I'd use the points and call it an "excursion to MK!"

Own at BWV (and very happy to always get boardwalk view) and AKV and not planning to buy at BLT. Will probably consider trying it once to do at least lake view but those MK view points are prohibitive. In fact, I sort of hope MK view is not open when I call at 7 months so I don't give in to temptation.
