I CAN'T WAIT!!
We're scheduled for November 26 - December 5th. This will be our first time doing the week AFTER Thanksgiving. We usually do the week OF Thanksgiving. We are excited!!Oh boy! Let's start planning now. Can you close your eyes and see it? I can... And, I love it!!
Count me in on the planning! We are booked in a 1 bedroom LV at BLT Nov 26th- Dec 5th. We were there the week after Thanksgiving this past year and it was great. This year should be easier for ADR's and park hours etc.
We've already booked our bounceback for 11/28-12/4. Flying in on a Sunday hoping to miss the last of the Thanksgiving folks. We went last year the week after that and had a great time. Just waiting for flights to come available for that time...probably be another month. We've booked a preferred room at CBR. Not sure what else I can do right now besides wait.
I got the pin for 20/30/40 with dates thru December, and booked Thanksgiving Week (Sun 11/21-Sat 11/27). However, the Wed, Thurs and Fri were black-out dates. I could not use the pin for those days.
But when we went for Thanksgiving week in 2008, I was able to use my discount for all the days.

we're booked CBR 11/28-12/7/10!! not lucky enough to have any pins yet but maybe they'll offer a discount later!
We're also gonna make a countdown calendar - maybe on Saturday - and we're always talking about what we want to see and do!Love the holiday decorations!! We've never been this exact week so I'm not sure how the crowds will be. I'm sure busy probably Saturday and maybe Sunday morning but I'm hoping after that it'll be just us DISers!
Hopefully it's a great change with lots less people!! Oh I'm so ready to be there. We've never planned a trip so far away before so it's so super hard to wait for it to get here!!

YAY! I still remember taking my kids for the first time. Even now, having been like 6 times in two years, there's still new things every time and I love experiencing it with them!

I recall worrying about this last Dec when we were there but it was later in Dec (around the 13th) and don't remember seeing too much of them.

YAY! Free dining would be awesome! It might be better for us to book seperate rooms on site for the free dining....ugh. I hate deciding between more space and "free" food....

Good luck with the finances! We fall into the "value" season but I'm sure that Thanksgiving week is one of the more expensive times to stay there.

I'm sure you can do it!! We drive from Hilton Head to just north of Detroit every summer to visit family and it takes about 18 hours when we drive straight through. It's a long drive but it's so much easier for us driving straight through - much happier kiddos. I think it will be exciting for you guys to stay and be excited on "Disney Eve"!!! We're about 5 hours from Disney and that drive through Jacksonville (I think that's it - DH drives cause I'd go crazy!!) with all the skyscrapers and stuff is rough sometimes! The best part is (for us) when you start to see the Disney billboards and you know you're getting close!! Have a very safe drive!! Hopefully no snow on the roads and no traffic or anything at all.
