*What are you looking most forward to? Experiencing a Disney World Christmas! Spending time with my family at POFQ. Our DD hasn't been to WDW since 1995, DGD has been there twice with us and she's excited about having her mom with her this trip.
*Are you using any other site to help you plan? I've always been able to find everything I need right here at the DIS. I like watching ride videos at youtube and I check stuff out at the Disney site as well, just because.
*What are you doing to get in the Disney spirit now? Beginning to make lists, reading menus, waiting for park hours, talking about Disney constantly, planning to get DGD a Princess Tiana costume because this will more than likely be the last year she'll want to dress up for a princess breakfast.

I booked my flights today, so now it really feals official!!!!! I got really good flight times too, on arrival day we get to disney at 10am and on departure day we leave at 7:00pm.

I have an update! I am not sure what all I included in the original posting, but, I am not sure if I mentioned, I am SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

I am a bit overwhelmed, but, I know it is going to be a blast! Did I mention that my grandmother that is going with us will be 82 when we travel! Yeah for granny going with us!

So, we are getting in the spirit by watching all the Disney movies, and starting with the "Princess" movies first. Our ODD will be going to the BBB! So cute, can't wait for that one. We will also be getting MDD's first haircut in the park, and will get her the fairy dust as well.

ADR's---Cinderella's castle, Chef Mickey's, Donald Duck Safari, Playhouse Disney, and a Fantasmic Dinner package of some sort. I have never seen Fantasmic, and DH says I have too!

I have been using the disney website, and allears.net. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? I can't get on the "dis" at work!

Ohh, also bought the stuff to make a countdown calendar, just haven't had time to make it yet.

We are going to make a mickey head countdown calendar. Plus I have a no-kiddie trip in Sept with hubby to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. Staying at YC and doing the family 5k together on Oct 2.

Thanks for letting me join the group. I have one trip all planned out now I need to get this trip up and running. Kind of hard to do without park hours. It is especially hard when you do a split month stay as you get the November hours but then dont have the December hours and you need to make ADR's. Ugh!!!

I love your excitement!! I can feel it right through the computer! Normally I'm the same way but it hasn't hit me yet for this trip. I'm not sure why (maybe because I've got so much between now and then???) but I'm so ready for a vacation and the hours to come out so I can plan more stuff. I love planning!!

Welcome!! I totally agree - I can't wait for the hours to come out. On page 3, post 31, there's a link to previous year's hours to give you an idea of what they might be. I'm in the same boat with being there in Nov/Dec too...

Disney DVDs - I picked up these DVDs for my DH for our anniversary last week and they're ok. Certainly worth the $14 I paid (I see they're $15 today). I do have a code for $29 off and if you spend $30 you get free shipping. You could order two sets of the dvds for $1 - pretty good deal! You can also google the site's name for coupon codes too. The other stuff (autograph books and stuff) seem very over priced from what I remember in the parks. The dvds are certainly someone's home movies so don't expect award winning recording but it's a fun way to check out rides you haven't been on or relive your last trip. We've kind of been going through the rides and shows to see what's worth our time (if we haven't already done it) or if we've been "right" (for our family) to skip it.

Just a suggestion if you're looking for something fun to help get excited for the trip. We've watched parts of most of the DVDs and haven't had any problems. I googled them before ordering and saw some older reports (from like 2006) about complaints but I had no problems. The dvds arrived within a week (I made sure that was possible before ordering them). The case was broken and they offered to send another but I did decline as I bought a "book" thingy to keep all the dvds in.

Has anyone else stayed at the GF? We've never really thought about staying there, I can't even remember the last time I was on the monorail. Besides the monorail how's the tranportation to other parks? I guess I've got to do research all over again. And redo my ticker.

Yay we changed our plans a little. We're staying AKV Nov 25-28. Then AKL Nov 28-29 with the Platinum Dining Plan so we can do V&A and a bunch of tours. THen we are staying at the Poly Nov 29-Dec 5! Can't wait!
