Who wants to plan with me? mid Nov - mid Dec - We're up to 110! WOW!

Hey!! I need to update my dates and resort!!

We are now staying Nov. 28th to Dec. 7th

And we have upgraded to Wilderness Lodge Woods View... :cool1::cool1:

Updated! :goodvibes

I just found this thread but thought I'd join in if I can. We are staying at Pop Nov 28th-Dec 4th. This is our first trip to WDW. Infact, our first family trip anywhere! My kids are saving to "go someday" but have no idea it's in the works. I can't wait to see the lokos on their faces when I finally spill it!

I am so excited to say I am going Dec 3-7th at Pop!!! Me, DH, DD(10) and DD(6)... We (i mean me)are dieing for the MVMCP dates to appear so I can see if my bday (the 6th) is one of the dates. I am hoping!! Then we will do another park with our "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" tickets!

Put me on the list.
We are staying offsite at WH Nov. 20-27.
I'm trying to decide where to have our Thanksgiving dinner.
The travel party consists of me, Dh, DS (8), DS (5) and Auntie. Auntie is in a Scooter, so this might get interesting.

If the rest of you can put your info into the format below, I would greatly appreicate it! It just makes it easier for me to copy and paste into the first post. :goodvibes Welcome to each of you! I'll update my first post with your info once I see it posted.

*Where are you staying?
*When are you going?
*Who's in your group?
*What is everyone hoping for as far as ADRS?
*What are you looking most forward to?
*Are you using any other site to help you plan?
*What are you doing to get in the Disney spirit now?

We just went in February and we want to go back in December to see the Christmas decorations and do the things we missed our first trip and of course do our favorite things again.
It will be myself, dh, dd9,ds9,ds8
We plan to leave Dec. 3rd and arrive Dec 4th. and stay thru Dec 14th or
15th so we can have a couple of off days this time. We also want to spend a day at downtown Disney and a day going around looking at the decorations.
We had a nice hotel offsite when we stayed in Feb. so we may just stay there again, it also provided a really good hot breakfast everyday.
So we could leave for the parks and not have to pay for breakfast, plus the hotel had a kitchenette.
When we were there in Feb. we had a 7 day pass and still didn't get to see everything (of course you can't) but we did a lot. It was not too crowded when we were there and I have read that the first week of Dec is a good time to go too, plus you have the Christmas decorations.

We have just rebooked our July 2010 vacation to Nov 19-27. Have been during this same time period before and it was great, crowds not so bad (with the exception of Black Friday) weather is good and the Christmas decorations are really neat. As a matter of fact hwen we returned, the build up to Christmas just wasn't the same as the big get seemed to have passed. We love our summer trips but are happy to be going again.

Just got a pin today. I know I want to go in November. Just gotta decide when! Lots of info on this thread! Thanks!!:)

Personalized plate w/Disney something on it. Disney fam sticker on my Van, Disney prints everywhere in my house...OK enough said....LOL

We have been on a Monday, Tuesday & Friday so far.

Monday & Tuesday were pretty empty. We were walking right on rides - no lines at all.

The Friday we went was crowded. The rides weren't horrible - there were lines, but they were 20 minutes tops. But Main Street was really packed. We wound up leaving and taking the boat over to FW to watch the fireworks from the beach there - as Main Street was wall to wall people.

If anyone has been on a Sunday night - I'd love to hear how the crowds were when you went. I'm still debating on one or two MVMCP nights again this year.

Thank you for the information..:goodvibes

I dont believe its held on a Monday...Sunday, Tuesday, Thurs, Fri...is the norm

Anyway I have been on Tuesdays and Sundays and I have found Sunday to be the best night and Tuesday was hit or miss...the earlier you can go on either of those nights the better...we went Sunday Nov 15th in 09 and it was a ghost town...quietest I had ever seen it...rule of thumb avoid nights that locals will attend...and go the farther away from the last one you can...so We went on the 1st Sunday party and it was great

We were just there for 8 days in February. It was our first family trip. We had a great time and have decided to go back in December and be able to enjoy all the decorations and lights. It will also give us a chance to do the things we missed.

We had a great offsite hotel that had a full breakfast included, so that saved us on paying for breakfast. It was great to go downstairs and have a breakfast buffet waiting on us. We all ate before going to the parks.
We had a suite that had a kitchenette and a bedroom with two beds and a living room with a pull out sofa and it had a heated pool. So we will probably stay there again.
Disney wants me to pay for two rooms since there are 5 of us. Plus it does not include breakfast.
We want to have a few extra days this time, so we can have a couple of off days so we don't feel so rushed and we will spend a day at downtown Disney and we also want to spend a day going around looking at the decorations.
I also really want to do MVMCP

*Where are you staying? Offsite

*Are you using any other site to help you plan? not right now

I heard that Chef Mickey wasn't that really great, we are planning to do Chef Mickey for our 2 DD's 2 & 4. Did you and your family enjoy it and how was the food? The other question is, didn't you have to pay for parking and was it a hassle staying offsite? We just find it so easy to stay onsite because of the transportation and staying @ AS Sports so we can do extra MH's? Was it beneficial? Let me know please, maybe we'll try it too. Have a Magical Day.:thumbsup2

I know I'm not who you were asking, but I personally loved Chef Mickey's. It was buffet style, so everyone in our group found something they liked. The characters come around to all the tables like any other character meal, and it's easy to get around them to get your food. It was a nice experience for us. We rode the bus over to take the monorail there. Easy as pie. :)
