I posted this on the crafty board but thought maybe you brides might be able to help to!!
Okay here's what I have so far. For our wedding we are doing a "Disney Wishes" theme. I bought snowglobes to represent a different movie for each table. To fit the theme, I want to somehow represent each character's "wish" as part of the centerpiece.
So here's what I have so far. My friend and I went to Michaels the other day trying to figure out something to actually put the snowglobes on but couldn't really decide on something because all the snowglobes' bases are different shapes and sizes. After walking around for a while, we started noticing all the empty boxes. They must have just gotten in a shipment and were stocking the shelves and that was the solution to our problem! So we asked if we could take some and they said yes! Now we just have to match the snowglobe with the right box. The plan from there is to wrap the boxes in some sort of white craft paper for the snowglobe to sit on. Then I want to have some tulle around the base, sort of in a cloud-like fashion. We also bought star garland to put around the tulle and found wide white ribbon on clearance with the leftover Christmas stuff...
Now here is where I'm stuck!! I want to somehow "write" the wish ON the white ribbon and have it wrap loosely around the base. (ex. Pinocchio's globe would say "I wish someday I could be a real boy.") But I can't for the life of me figure out the best way to do it. I'm not sure I want to (or even CAN) write on the actual ribbon itself. I thought of printing out each word on transparent paper and somehow adhering it to the ribbon but I just don't know.. ANY IDEAS??!?!??!?
