I know time is running short and people have already laid out their itineraries, but I was wondering if there would be enough interest in a Who Wants to be a Millionaire meet? We could get together and try to attend several shows as a group; hopefully one of us will get into the hotseat and they would have a guaranteed rooting section. The best day and time that I see to try this would be Thursday afternoon, Nov. 29th. Hopefully, some of us would already be at MGM Studios for the Fantasmic activities that evening. I believe the shows are on the hour now, so we could shoot for the 2 pm show and try to get in as many shows as we can before dinner. I would suggest getting Fastpass tickets to avoid the stand-by line. I would be willing to share my tips on getting into the hotseat. Maybe one of us will get lucky!
Is there any interest in this?

James, that sounds great...I'd love that. Watch out though if Towncrier is in our group...he's a ringer! ;)

Great idea, James. But I'll be on the Thrill Ride tour all that day. The closest I've come to the hot seat was #8. And then they asked some silly Disney question that really threw me.

ME ME ME!!!!

I can't disappoint my family. I have to bring home another WWTBAM hat (and maybe another polo shirt). Thursday AM is when all the thrill ride mini-meets are happening. If you aren't doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour, perhaps Friday AM would work better.

I'm not doing the Keys tour, but I am doing the Thrill Ride meet. So, Friday am works better for me. This would be fun. And, I don't even get close...........so you have no competition from me! ;) :D
We talked about doing a first timer's Rock 'n Rollercoaster meet right at park opening that day. That would work out pretty good. We could do the first timer's thing and then head over to Millionaire. Thoughts?

I'm clear Friday am between the first-timer RNR meet and the GF Tea Meet....

What time is the first show? Some of us need to be at the GF for tea by 12:30 on Friday, but probably fewer people than are doing the thrill ride tours on Thursday.

I know Friday is a bad day for most people, we'll be moving from one resort to another for instance. I'm talking about THURSDAY afternoon. I thought the only thing on the schedule right now was a Mini-Golf Mini-Meet @ 2:30 pm.
The first WWTBAM show of the day is at 11 am now. If we start that early, then I'll miss having a nice lunch with my wife at Epcot, and let's just say, that's not a pretty sight! I didn't know the thrill ride tour was going to take all day. Maybe this would be something the non-thrill riders would like to try.
I've been in the hotseat two different times now, once getting up to 64,000 points. The only thing I don't like about the show now is the fact you can't play for 30 days after you've been in the hotseat. What a bummer!
We'll see how much more interest there is in attending some of the shows on Thursday. Thanks for everyone's input.

James what most people are concerned about is that the Thrill Ride tour is going to be going on...It is an all dayer. I would Love to do Millionaire, I just don't see how I can fit it in.

The only spot I have available on things I want to do , is friday afternoon, between Keys to the Kindom and Fantasmic.

James I am up for whatever... I am not going to do the thrill tour as I don't want to get locked into something for that long... So I will be happy to go on with you to WWTBM mini meet.... Let me know... I am having a really difficult time with all the mini meets there is so much going on I really can't keep it all straight despite the list i have..HEHE

DIS CON SCHEDULE

The above link is where I am getting my info on the what is going on.. Am I missing anything? LOL

James---we are probably free that day so that might be a good thing to do. I'm one of those who doesn't do the thrill rides. Peter Pan's flight is about as adventurous as I get. We'll chat at breakfast on Wednesday!

Just to note, there is no RnR Coaster meet on the itenrary, so it won't happen. I instead planned on being at AK that morning.

It appears that ABC is going to be filming the REAL WWTBAM show from Orlando on 12/2 and 12/3. Your guess is as good as mine as to what days they will close the attraction in order to prepare. I guess we better do the WWTBAM-PI thingie early.

me, me. me, me, me, me, me, me!!!!
I have SO been wanting to do this and it will be even better with a group!!

I am going to start my thumb exercises tomorrow!

It looks like there is some interest in getting together on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 29) and making it into a couple of Who Wants to be a Millionaire shows. Linda and I plan on going to the 2 pm show; we'll probably get Fastpass tickets and head into the show about 1:45 pm. More info to follow.
Towncrier, I am concerned about the Millionaire show being closed the week we are going to be in WDW. This is one of our favorite things to do. Where did you get your info on the tapings for the 'real' show? I wonder how they are going to handle the selection of audience members? Will it be a lottery, or do you just show up at 3 in the morning?
Thanks for everyone's input.

You have to send a letter to ABC requesting tickets for the taping. The info is on the abc.com website. I was really counting on winning another hat for my MIL. I don't want to disappoint her. :D
