Have fun!! I hope you can get some sleep tonight!

Wow she did better than Jenny. Jenny hated barnstormers and splash mountain plus anything that was dark. Her fave was the teacups. Yuck! Maybe next time! :confused3

Can't wait...I so wanted to do Haunted Mansion.

On the way over we noticed that miss M had a MAJOR and I mean MAJOR blow out.

Yup. Gool 'ole antibiotic poop!!! Poor Madeline! Poor you!!

You wonder how something so yucky can come out of something so sweet!?

Yes, but at least antibiotic poop doesn't smell. :thumbsup2

I met the family back at the Haunted Mansion. They were finishing up their snacks.
DSC_1431.jpg

The wait said 10 minutes but it was a walk on. Luckily no one screamed. Have they always had the person hanging from the ceiling? I don't remember that.

Madeline wasn't scared of much except the alligator in the stretching room. Once we convinced her that the alligator was not on the ride only ghosts she was good to go. Strange child I have. She really liked the hitch hiking ghosts at the end. I do have to say this was the only ride she didn't say "again" to. She did give it a round of applause at the end though. :lmao:
DSC_1426-1.jpg

she conquered the Haunted Mansion. YAY

We discussed weather or not to have lunch at this point but it wasn't even 11am yet so we headed to Adventure Land. Madeline spotted the spitting Totem Poles (I"m SURE they didn't always spit water) on the way to
DSC_1432.jpg

Everyone was choosing the right side of the line so we went left. SUCKERS! We had a walk on while they all had to wait a bit.
DSC_1438.jpg

I was a little worried about the drop at the beginning of the ride. pirate: I shouldn't have worried. Madeline of course loved it. (I also remember it being much steeper. I seem to always build up those drops in my mind).

Madeline gave this ride a standing ovation. She wanted to ride again. But it was time to move on. I must say I'm probably the only person that doesn't like the refurb. Adding Johny Dep throughout was fine BUT I do NOT like the last scene. I much prefer the old bank scene with the people tied up. Ah well.

While the gang looked through the pirate shop I headed over to get fast passes for the Jungle Cruise. All day long the fast passes were running an hour or less return time after we grabbed them. It was really nice.

We decided to go grab some lunch now before it got too busy. We went to Pecos Bill and waved to Captain Hook on our way. This was the least busy I've ever seen this place. No trouble finding a table today! I think Eric and I both had cheeseburgers, my mom had a taco salad, my dad got a drink and I shared my burger with him. Madeline just ate fruit and yogurt that we brought along. I think we might have gotten her some milk too.
Pecos Bill's seating is different then I remember it. We were sitting on stools. I seem to remember chairs with backs.

I guess there are a lot of little things that changed since 2004 ;)

After lunch we headed to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We secured a child swap pass and Eric, my dad, and I rode first. Loved it as usual. We found my mom and Madeline at the exit playing with another little girl. :lovestruc
My dad said that he'd stay with Madeline IF she was sitting in her stroller. Well she wasn't so I had to forgo a 2nd ride on the railroad while mom and Eric went on. It was time to get another fast pass now so Madeline and I headed over to Splash to get those. We then went to the exit and waited for mom and Eric. We got to see them on the ride.
DSC_1439.jpg

Madeline was pretty tired so we put her in the stroller and were going to go on the jungle cruise next. By the time we got to the little cut through by the flying carpets it appeared that Madeline would fall asleep. So I decided that we needed a snack break and got sent Eric to get one of those slushy's from the place right there (Sunshine Terrace maybe?). While Eric did that I walked around with Madeline. She spotted those totem poles again though so nap was not an option. I let her out to play. She just stood there for a while. Then some other kids came so she tried to join in. Then a mean kid put his hand over the spitter and got Madeline soaked.
DSC_1443.jpg

She wasn't too happy so she got back in the stroller and we joined the group. Eric had an ice cream cone so of course Madeline needed some. THen she spotted my drink and she drank most of it

She how hot she looks? This was probably the coolest day too.

After our snack it was time for a 2 week cruise in the jungle.

I was on the middle bench so pictures were kind of hard to get. We enjoyed seeing the back side of water and Madeline liked that tiger in the cave.

We headed back over to Splash Mountain. It was around 1pm at this point. Splash Mountain was INSANE! Neither mom or dad wanted to go on. Dad plopped down on the bench right next to the fast pass return and mom took Madeline to the playground. Eric and I got in line. The fast pass line was pretty long. I chickened out and left Eric to ride alone. I wasn't in the mood to ride. I met mom and Madeline at the playgound. There were a bunch of boys there that either didn't have parents watching or the parents didn't care. They kept cutting in line and pushing and shoving. It also smelled like dirty diaper here. Madeline seemed to enjoy herself despite all of that.

It took Eric a LONG time there. I'm sure we were there for about 45 minutes. We decided it was time to head out of the park via the railroad.

Next up day 3.4 poor CM!

Hi! I just found your report today and have caught up on your trip so far. I love to read trip reports with little ones in them. Your little girl is so cute. I love the expressions on her face when she saw the opening show. I think I looked the same way in December. That was the first time I had seen it, and I loved it. I can certainly tell by seeing your daughter's face that it must have been hot.

Great start. I can't wait to hear more. I started tearing up when I saw her face for the rope drop. I love it! Keep it coming...love the pictures!

Great update!! Your camera takes AWESOME pictures. I love them... keep them coming!!!

Thanks. I'm sure the pictures could be MUCH better. I just need to learn a bit more about how to use the camera properly.

Thank you. We think she's pretty cute too ;). It was SO hot! We missed doing so much because we were just too hot to stay or go back. Ah well we'll make it up in October hopefully. :woohoo:

Glad you're enjoying it! I think seeing her reaction to the opening show was one of the highlights of the trip!

Lets not talk cameras...I still haven't gotten to my nightmare yet. I am so wishing we had done all the rides you did. Ugh! I so need another trip and yet I need a vacation from my vacation.

Your daughter is adorable even with pink cheeks.

So it was about 2pm and we were headed for the train. Luckily there was one waiting for us. It was pretty full though so we had to sit in 2 rows. I put my camera away and just enjoyed the ride. When we pulled into Toon town station Madeline wanted to get off but we didn't. As we were pulling into Main street I noticed Pinocchio was out with hardly any line. I grabbed Madeline and almost ran to Pinocchio. Madeline was very excited.
DSC_1488.jpg

After Pinocchio I went to City Hall to upgrade my ticket to an annual pass. Everyone else went to stand in line for Daisy. I walked in and it was heaven. The A/C was on full blast. It felt really good. I stepped up to the CM and said I wanted to upgrade. Next to us was a man complaining about Space Mountain being closed. He was going on and on about how if he had known blah blah blah. Sounded like he wanted his money back. He was a pretty big guy and intimidating. The cm was doing a great job. She kept saying that it had been announced a long time ago and if he had done any research he would have known. He said "the average person doesn't go on the internet and find these things out" To me that was a give away that he HAD in fact done that and was just trying to scam.

Anyway, the CM quoted me a VERY high price to upgrade my ticket. I knew it didn't sound right but didn't have the numbers with me so I just paid it. I decided I'd check the price on line and have it adjusted later.

When I was done Madeline was still in the Daisy line and hadn't moved very far. I guess she had taken a break. My dad said he saw Chip and Dale with NO line so we went over there instead. This was another WONDERFUL memory. Madeline was so tired and she just leaned into them and almost fell asleep. They just rocked her. It was awesome. I bet she was hugging chip for at least 2 minutes. lol

So now it was time to leave right? NOPE! I wanted to get Madeline an ear hat. We headed over to the Chapeau. We let Madeline make her own. You can definitely tell a 2 year old designed it. The ears are snap on so at least we can just get a different ear later if we want and not have to buy the whole hat.

After getting the hat it was time for the parade. It was literally starting (in Main street) when we finished up the hat. So instead of leaving we just stood right at the edge of the sidewalk in front of the train station. There was hardly anyone there.

Madeline wanted to take the Ferry

This was Madeline about 30 seconds after the boat left
DSC_1572.jpg

At this point we made the decision to not go back later that night. Everyone was hot and my dad didn't want to deal with having to park at the TTC ect. ect. Ah well

We got back to the condo put Madeline in bed and rested. We went to I think Denny's this night (see a pattern) and then for our nightly swim before bed. I went online and figured out that I had been charged about $79 more then I should have been to upgrade. I had gotten a discounted ticket from Undercover Tourist and once you use it it's supposed to be the value of a full price ticket. This irked me and I couldn't relax until it was fixed. Good think there is a Guest Relations at Downtown Disney! Did they fix it for me?

Up next Day 4: Downtown Disney.

Lets not talk cameras...I still haven't gotten to my nightmare yet. I am so wishing we had done all the rides you did. Ugh! I so need another trip and yet I need a vacation from my vacation.

Your daughter is adorable even with pink cheeks.

oh no! I don't even want to imagine what happened to your camera!

I think with kids its impossible to do a ton of stuff. I swear when we were there on our honeymoon we actually were done with everything by evening and were like what do we do no?:confused3

Great updates! Emily loved all of the rides too! She called the HM the Ghost Hunters ride! Madeline's cheeks are so cute all pink like that! Your Dad is sounding more and more like a grump!!:lmao:

I must say I LOVE Madeline's ears! They are definetly personalized and will be something to look back on in a couple years, but it will be nice to be able to get new ears lol

Oh, she did a great job on her ears! Your dad is too funny, breakfast like places every night for dinner! I can kind of see why you want to go back on your own.:)

Very fun updates!!! That little Madeline is SOOOO cute!!! Her hat cracked me up, I bet she was very proud of that!

I'm enjoying your TR a lot!!! Thanks for sharing. ;)

lol Madeline calls it the ghost ride and she also now thinks that all skeletons are pirates after seeing the skeleton pirates at World of Disney. lol
As far as my dad yeah he's a bit set in his way. Both of us like to be in charge and I think he was trying to let me be in charge but it was really hard for him. I shouldn't complain too much because my parents paid for most of our meals and the condo. ;)

Yes they are unique. The green ear glows in the dark and the yellow mickey one changes. I sort of directed her pink hat choice though.

Eric LOVED the breakfast places for supper too. I was so sick of it but at least they serve other stuff too.

Thank you. Yes she is proud of her hat but doesn't really want to wear it anymore. I'll bring it with in October though and hopefully it will be cool enough for her to wear it in the parks then.

Today was Dowtown Disney day. There were a few things I wanted to do. Guest Relations opened at 8:30am. We headed out at around 8:15 I think. We were one of the first people in the parking lot.
DSC_1599-1.jpg

We immediately headed over to Guest Relations. I had Eric with me in case I became irate. He's always calm in these situations. This time I was armed with my figures. I got a really nice CM (the last CM was nice too just apparently not trained properly). It took a while because there was "no record" of the exact transaction only that I had upgraded and how much I paid. I was persistent but very calm and had a big smile on my face. Basically I wasn't budging until she refunded me. I don't think she believed me at first but since I was calm she finally came around. She did make a comment that kind of bugged me "we'll give you a one time courtesy". At that point I almost lost it. I mean I had to make a special trip to Guest Relations to fix someone else's mistake. So as a tip for anyone out there trying to upgrade their tickets make sure the CM "bridges" the ticket before you shell out the money. I was refunded the $79 overcharge and then proceeded to blow it all at DTD. :rotfl:

During the 20 or so minutes we were in GR my mom had been running around with Madeline. She spotted the train and wanted to go on. My parents paid for a ride. It's amazing what they'll let her do. They would NEVER let me or my sister ride on that kind so stuff when we were kids. :cutie:
DSC_1609.jpg

DSC_1615.jpg

We then headed to Once Upon a Toy.
DSC_1628.jpg

I didn't really get to look around here too much the other day because it was so busy. We wandered around. That store is pretty big. I'm pretty sure they expanded it since the last time we were there.
DSC_1633.jpg

DSC_1635.jpg

DSC_1637.jpg

I then decided that Madeline need some accessories for My Little Pony. I stuffed a box. It is SO much easier to stuff a pony box then a potato box! I got 1 pony and every since accessory and some extra's. Might have even been able to stuff a 2nd pony in there according to my dad (of course he tells me this AFTER I bought the thing :confused3)

We then headed toward the Hanes T-shirt shop. I wanted to start from one end and work our way around. Eric, dad and Madeline stayed outside by the splash area. Mom and I looked through the scrapbook store and the art of Disney. We then headed toward the 12 Days of Christmas. I had a mission. When Eric and I were on our honeymoon we waited until one of the last days to try to get an ornament personalized. So today I was going to do that. I found one that said Our Honeymoon and had them put the date of our wedding on it. I also found a mickey ear 2009 ornament. I haven't taken a picture of either of them yet. Maybe I'll do a souvenir post at the end of the TR.

We were starting to get hungry so we decided to go to Earl of Sandwich. But then Madeline spotted this

Now it was lunch time. No pictures of food, sorry. We all enjoyed our sandwiches!

This seems like a good part to break. Next time we'll finish up DTD. I probably won't put that up until Monday or Tuesday though.

Enjoy the holiday weekend everyone!

I think Madeline probably had the most interesting ears in all of Disney World.:rotfl2: Your parade pictures are great. And, I love the pictures with Chip and Dale, what a great memory that will be. I hope you got your money returned, and I completely understand about not being able to rest until it was settled. I would have been the same way.
