I usually travel during the really off season (Jan. and such) but next spring I'd like to go in early March - but airfare is REALLY HIGH for ATL. to Orlando (I'm used to specials of $69.00 each way - currently some of my dates have $177.00 each way!)
Can I expect a sale for March???

If our flights were $69, we would go to WDW twice a year.

I think they'll drop- it's just too early for the spring sales yet.

March is not as expensive to fly as Easter in April, Presidents week in Feb, and any other holiday. I'd just keep checking every couple of days. Also, you can go to some airlines websites and sign up for e-mail notices of their sales. I've been able to catch some fantasic deals this way! Good luck!

We are going as March as well for my spring break and a convention I am working. I've been pricing airfare since July and have yet to see anything under $400 each. We're really limited in our airline choices, but I was hoping to find something cheaper.

We always go to Orlando via SWA and get fares around $89-$109

Keep on checking, it's still early. Check on Wednesdays, rates usually change on Wednesday mornings.

Getting to the World for $69 - that would be wonderful, I would be there as often as possible. It costs us $1800 for my daughter and I - that's why we cram so much in to our holiday as possible.

Check the rates for the days of the week of your trip 6 to 7 weeks from the present. For example, if your're going from a Sat. to the next Sat., look at the rates for the week of Nov. 15 - 22. Avoid auditing a holiday week. This will give you a better idea of what your rates will really be. We usually go first week in March and have found the rates to be similar to those offered for other non-holiday weeks. Spring Break is different for colleges and public schools in different states so the impact is spread out over many weeks and seems not to be a factor.

Six months out is too early to check for airfare - they'll pretty much always be really high (an exception would be for Christmas - I don't think they come down). Try more like three months out - I bet you'll see better rates then.

thanks everybody.

I did some searching and found that the weekend prior to the one I was thinking of had 1. standard rooms still available at the loews hotels (the other weekend only had rooms starting at pool view which tells me that possibly a convention or something has booked at that time) and 2. airfare was cheaper than the other weekend (still higher than normal but cheaper than the next weekend - $127.00 flights as opposed to $177.00).

So, I'm hoping that as I wait I'm more likely to get deals on the lower cost weekend.....waiting is driving me CRAZY:crazy:

Just a note that for us the airfare this year has been higher and stayed higher than any other year. Its about double and has not gotten much better as time passes. Dont mean to be negitive but it just seems different this year.
