Who to reserve your resort through? Can I ask this?

I want to book my room only reservation for May 2004.

Who does this board recommend? Anyone with any experiences that are good or bad? There are so many options that I don't know who to trust. I want to make sure that my room is there when I get all the way to Florida!

I'm not an expert, but - I just had a good experience today booking a room only at the Polynesian for Jan 14-19, 2004 at AAA rates ($254/night garden view room) through the 407-934-7639 #. I politely asked that I book it through CRO policies - 1 night stay deposit, pay balance at check in and most importantly can change/cancel without fees up to 5 days prior. The nice CM, Ada?, said no problem, that was how she was doing it.

Have read on these boards and others that there has been problems requesting CRO ressies vs. the WDTC (Walt Disney Travel Company) which is reached by the same phone #. Guess some CMs book one way or the other and some both. WDTC has a fee to change/ cancel 45 days or less prior and balance is due at 45 days.
Hoping some discounts will come out this fall that I can apply. I would recommend booking now through CRO so that your room is booked, but changes can be made. AAA discount is all that is out now as far as I can tell.

We have used ourlaughingplace.com the last few trips and have been very happy with them.

I haven't heard anything bad about any of the major Disney websites that book Disney vacations.
