Worried about a snow storm hitting when we are leaving for Disney. If I will be delayed checking in due to snow storm, who do I contact? Should I call the hotel (ASMo) direct? I don't want to call the Disney line as I know it is a call center.

There is no direct line to the resorts...the ASMo hotel number goes to a call center. I would contact the Disney number and ask there.

I would call the Disney reservation 800# since you can talk with a live person and they will let you know what to do. With other forms of communication, interaction can be an issue and you never know if some actually reads them. During bad weather, I would imagine Disney knows that people can be delayed or not show up at all for reasons they can't control.

Why do you think you need to contact Disney?
You don't.
You get there when you get there.
If you are arriving via DME they are aware your flight is delayed.
If you arrive past 10pm you'll have to get your own luggage though.

I am pretty sure that the Disney line is your best option. If it is after 11:00 pm you could try the email offered by the PP.

You will need to contact Disney to let them know if there is any chance that you won't arrive before the next day - something that can happen with snow related delays. Also, you need to let them know by telephone before 11:00 pm as the centre closes at that time. We were delayed but told that we would still get out that night so we didn't call. Finally informed that we were going to have to overnight after 11:00 pm. I didn't know what to do and was unable to contact WDW at that point. Arrived the next morning to a cancelled room reservation. It took a few hours to straighten it all out. It was both scary and frustrating. Now, if there is any issue about our arrival time I call to let them know the situation and they make a note on the reservation.

What is the 1-800 # for Disney? I didn't know that there was one?

How delayed do you think you might be? We were delayed about 10 hours, showed up at around 4:00 the next morning, and didn't contact the resort.

The number listed on the Disney website...............

For assistance with your Walt Disney World visit, please call (407) 939-5277.

I have called the resorts directly, i actually called All Star Sports yesterday to ask something and one of the things they answered the other they said that since they were the resort I would have to call the regular Disney line for the other question. I got the direct resort number here on the AsSp forum page.

Our flight is Monday and they are calling for a major snowstorm starting Saturday into Sunday for the entire eastern seaboard.

Since its really to far out I'm just trying to prepare for anything.

I think you're smart to plan ahead, but I agree that you don't need to contact them. WDW resorts deal with delays of all sorts everyday all day. But if it's causing you stress give 'em a call.:)

Our forecast today, is predicting a major storm Saturday night into Monday.

I believe the reservation system turns over at 6:00am. If you will be past that, I would call so you are not a no show and reservation cancelled.

That was our experience. It is fine as long as you arrive prior to 6:00 am the next morning. After that you are considered a no show and the reservation is cancelled.

Yep, this is my understanding as well.

If a flight delay or cancellation means you'll miss the entire first day of your reservation (getting in at 9 AM Tuesday morning instead of 1 PM on Monday), yes, definitely call the reservation line and let them know. Disney does cancel no-show reservations.

If you're simply going to be arriving at 9 PM Monday instead of 1 PM Monday, there's no need to call, though it won't do any harm to call if it makes you feel more comfortable.

I'm in panic mode too.... We fly out of BWI on Saturday morning at 1030a. I don't think the storm is supposed till later that day, but my concern is where the plane I'm getting on is coming from if that will cause delays. Saying prayers over here

Follow Q on this. Which I think I know the answer to but...If your departure is delayed by a day and there is room at the hotel and if you’ve used up all the days of tickets in your package, can your package (tix, meal plan, etc) be extended on the check out day?

WDW will try their best to help because they don't want people scared away from future visits. They have more options to help during a slow week than during holidays. Per Disney https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney...elayed-cancelled-next-day-reservation-395129/ :

Speaking from experience, I can tell you that your reservation will be secure. While I'm sending happy pixie-dusted thoughts your way, we all know flight delays can happen. If this does occur, give a Reservation Specialist a call at 407-560-CHAT (2428) to let them know when you will be arriving. I would do the same for Disney's Magical Express. Their phone number is (407) 939-1936.

This thread is from January. I am sure their trip is over.
