Does anyone still physically go tot he stores/mall personally and shop for Christmas?? I do, I have never shopped on line and bought anything.. :confused3

I always thought that by me picking stuff out physically, it would seem a little more personal and from the heart.. but, I'm starting to get over it.. :rotfl:

This year, DH and I have been so busy with other things, that I am running out of time and I didn't even buy a single thing yet..

Maybe I should try on line, which makes me ask, Is there anywhere on line that is a MUST see???? Where do you shop??

Thanks all !!!

:goodvibes

I very rarely shop online- I live 5 minutes away from Paramus, NJ which is full of malls, 2 TRU, stores lining both sides of the highways for miles-makes no sense to me to pay shipping when I can run out and get pretty much anything I want or need in less than a half hour.
If I lived somewhere where shopping wasn't so eays, then maybe.
I did just buy a couple things online because they didn't have my kids sizes in the stores and I needed it(Christmas PJs), but that's the only time I will.

I do probably 90% of it online and the other 10% "in person". We live in a rural area with nothing but a Wal-Mart and a few gift shops here in town. It's over an hour to the nearest mall, Toys R Us etc. It's just much easier to do it online!

I love shopping online. Most of the larger stores (including discount stores) have an online version anyway. Lots of times you can do a search on google and find a code for free shipping. Of course, I live in a rural area (50 miles from the nearest mall), but I'd do it anyway. We were "in town" last weekend to buy a washer, and the traffic was already backing way up from normal and the parking lots were full.

On the flip side, I'll be in Orlando this weekend and am looking forward to hitting their outlet malls.

I shop online, I shop at stores, I shop surrounding states....you name it I SHOP!!

I find some neat things in catalogs that I would not get around here. It is so easy and convenient. But I agree, there is something fun about shopping this time of year. :goodvibes

I love shopping this time of year. I like all the decorations and having my hands full of bags walking down the mall. I do get to the stores at opening and finish my shopping before noon and than I people watch and enjoy the decorations when the mall gets busy. :Pinkbounc

I enjoy shopping, so I do still go to the mall. I also buy things online however. I do about 75% of my Christmas shopping in a regular store, and 25% online. Good websites for kid's stuff are disneydirect.com and fisherprice.com.

About the only time I love to shop is during the Christmas season. I love the decorations, the music, everything. I don't love to shop on the weekends, but during the week it's a pleasant time for me & DH.

On the other hand, with DH having low energy and my poor feet(and knee and back...)I'm shopping wiser now and starting early. I can only take a few hours on my feet anymore so online shopping is looking better every year. My mother has arthritis and she is in the same boat. This year she is buying every kid a little something and then giving them some cash to spend.

We do both, but are starting to do more and more online shopping. Some of our favorite online places are amazon.com, books-a-million (bamm.com), overstock.com and qvc.com. We also select those one-of-a-kind items from ebay, but never 100% plan on that gift until it is in our hands. We do comparison shopping on line as well in order to get the best deals. Only problem is that I need to include my friendly neighborhood UPS man on my holiday list now!

I'll shop online when there are special deals, coupons, or free shipping offers.

A good place for all who shop online to go to is www.fishingfordeals.com
They have a forum place where you can see all the latest deals online, plus just about every coupon code you could imagine. It changes daily so check it often. I once bought a pair of boots that were $99 on sale for $15 from a tip that someone posted there at that website.

Happy shopping!!

I do about 20% of my Christmas shopping in stores and the remaining 80% is online. I use amazon.com a lot. It's a good, basic, "one stop shop" for most products.

I really enjoy Christmas shopping in the stores and regret that I can't do more of it. But, our schedules are so full and tight this time of year, I'm willing to pay for the conveniece of having stuff delivered. Keeps me sane.

I still do about 90% of my total shoping in person (total for the whole year) and 100% of my Christmas shopping is still done in person. I see no reason to pay shipping if I can get the same thing at the mall. I only order online if they don't have the size/color/model I'm looking for in stock (which being a size 10 is often the case for clothing, it sucks being one of the most worn sizes!). As for Christmas, I just don't want to take the chance of the item not being delivered in time. Plus I often don't know what I'm getting for a person until I go shoping. DH and I have a $$$ amount per person, so I look until I see "the perfect gift" for the amount I've budgeted for that person. I'm a "know it when I see it" kind of gal!

I do most of my shopping at the store BUT ... all year I check out the web sites looking for deals and clearance merchandise that I can put away for birthdays and next Christmas. I love kolhs and jc penneys and of course disney direct. I like to plan ahead and put stuff away as much as I can.

I have always done all my shopping in person but I have had to use the internet lately to find a few items. My DS wanted a video game that was not being sold in the stores and noone around here sells slim Carhart pants.I love all of the Christmas decorations. :)

I do all my Christmas shopping online now. Crowds give me major anxiety anyway, so you can imagine what a pre-Christmas shopping crowd would do to me. :rotfl:

Amazon loves me. My mailman, UPS, and Fedex guys....not so much. :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for your replies...

Maybe I will stick with doing the shopping myself in person :confused3
