Who sits in the reserved fireworks seating?

Hi, I know I can probably find info online, but of course it's always just easier to ask :yay:. The reserved fireworks seating, is that part of a tour package? Any particular tour?, I know there's a few different ones.

I know VIP tour gets to sit there for sure. Not sure about any other tours.

It varies every night. As was explained to me, that area has the only seats that Disneyland management has for them to utilize as needed each night.

Think of any stadium or theatre. The management always has a few "house seats" for them to use as needed. VIP, make goods, giveaways, etc.... That is the reserved area at fireworks. "House seats" for whatever reason.

I asked the Cast Member securing the area, and she said that the specific day I went it was for the celebrity Chivas USA soccer team, who also had a parade dedicated to them. She told me that you also can't buy the seats.

Anyone know where the VIP seating for the fireworks and parade are located?

What specifically do you mean by "VIP"? Are you asking about celebrities, tours, execs? Not completely sure who you are asking about.

I was told last month that the seating for the fireworks is at the train station and the seating for the parade was over by IASW but when speaking with VP recently the parade seating is now over at the train station. Just wondering if anyone has done this and if, in fact, there is also seating by IASW for the parade? I'd rather be over by IASW, at the beginning of the parade. :)

I can't really remember for Parade, but when I left, Fireworks VIP seating was located in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, on several benches set back from the crowd on the street on the portion of the Partners Statue Plaza facing the castle.

As to who gets to sit there, my favourite answer from many, many nights of working Fireworks Crowd Control in that general area:

"That seating area is reserved for select Guests of the Disneyland Resort, as well as of The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies."

Basically, it's used for Guests who need a Priority Viewing experience for whatever reason, as determined by Park Leadership. Not only for Guest Recovery issues (though that's certainly a major reason), but for also things like VIP Groups, Executive Leadership who decide to visit, "Business Needs" and the like.

Thank you for the information, glendalais. I guess I'll just take where we get. :)

We had a reserved area on our Backstage Magic ABD tour.

OK..so we didn't have VIP seating on the ABD..we were tucked into the edge of..some closed eating area? on benches..Plaza?

Over by the Plaza Pavillion? That area is generally used for Tour Groups and other people who require some sort of reserved seating, but not necessarily front and centre.

Okay, so, I basically provided the same answer for you above earlier in this thread, but it seems as if you did not believe it until glendalais provided the same information so I am not sure if you will take the following information as credible, but I will offer it to you in an effort to help you again.

I do not know which "VIP" you are referring to as there really isn't VIP seating, but rather a reserved area for various reasons (as I tried to explain above). What is it that you are really trying to determine? Do you have something that gives you seating in the reserved area? What specifically are you trying to figure out about the seating area so you can get the answer you need?

I ask because your last statement is not entirely accurate in it's phrasing. Do you want to sit by it's a small world or do you want to be at the beginning of the parade? These are not necessarily the same. There are two parades per day. One goes from Main Street to it's a small world and the other goes the reverse. So, iasw is both the beginning and the end of the parade, depending upon which parade you are watching.

HTH,

That was it! :) One thing I was surprised at..the audio could not be heard very well there.

HTH,

I'm sorry if I offended you, Disney Dreams, I was just trying to make sense of everything I've read and what I was told by VP folks. With the room ressie we have I was offered "VIP Seating" for parades and shows. The first person I spoke with told me that during our stay there is only 1 parade at 5:30 and it starts at IASW and the seats would be there. When I got my itinerary it stated the seating would be at the Main Street Train Station. I was just trying to figure out if there were multiple areas for this seating. I would prefer to be seated at the beginning of the parade so can skip off to other rides once it has passed.

ps: I do appreciate your information, too. :)

I sat in the roped off section in front of the castle in September as DL's way of apologizing for something they sorta messed up....it was a beautiful view and I felt so lucky to sit there.

When I was there in September, someone nearby very nicely asked the CMs who the seats were reserved for and they were told that they were reserved seats for VIPs, but that they might be able to sit there. Sure enough, I looked over about a half hour later and they were seated there. So I guess it doesn't hurt to ask, but I wouldn't bank on it.
