I admit, I spend time ( I waste time, lol) playing games on my phone. I play mainly in the morning while no one else is up and I'm having my coffee, too.
These are the games I'm playing ( some I've been at for a few years!) I went a very long time w/o ever having spent a dime, now I find myself spending a few bucks here and .99 cents there so I can continue the levels in Royal Match ( level 898) and do nicer designs in Design Home. I'm not into it for gambling but I do like earning those $5 Amazon GC's!

Royal Match
Design Home
Cake Sort
Crossword Jam
Wizard of OZ
Dice Dreams
Domino Dice
Bingo Blitz
Tiki Solitaire

BUT the ADS are crazy and just outright DUMB!!
Examples:

Millennials with CASH what a joke
Millennials with ALOT of cash, thousands in cash!
Millennials giving hundred dollar bills to people they do not even know because they have SO MUCH CASH!
Uber drivers STEALING cash from customers and then very same customer giving them CASH because the driver caught their attention to give them their purse back, with CASH sticking out
A person doesn't have enough $ to pay so they whip out their phone and say give me a minute and then BAM, they WIN a Game and $80 is theirs just like that!
One of my all time favorite stupid ones: A lady doesn't have enough to pay and she CALLS "customer service" to ask why her winnings haven't been deposited

Just my grip for today!

I noticed commercials and ads on apps like Candy Crush and Wheel Of Fortune Free Play and I can't figure out when you get an ad or commercial for a bonus prize how these apps survive? Take for instance when I play Candy Crush on my mom's phone it always seems to have Temu commercials and car commercials in English and Spanish just so you can earn a bonus free prize. And when I play Wheel Of Fortune Free Play they have commercials that advertise commercials that begin with " You Can Win Real Money Just By Playing Bingo" or "Become An Instant Winner By Playing Solitaire" and the gaming companies must get a lot money just by having these commercials. But i'm glad that Royal Match doesn't have annoying commercials or neither does Marvel Strike Force. But for some reason these annoying commercials have taken over apps now. And they should do away with these commercials and just let you play the game alone

Companies can make money by selling the program or through commercials.

The companies producing games are NOT charities nor non-profit

Exactly. There's a word search game I've been playing for a couple years. They have the offer of no ads for $5 and it's the best $5 I've spent. Now if I want more coins/game helpers I can watch ads to get those, but I am not obligated to in order to advance in the game.

I think the advertisers are desperate to get more people to buy their products because they want to gain more business from customers. When I have played Wheel Of Fortune Free Play all their commercials are for casino apps like Las Vegas style slot machine games that claim to give players free actual money and I can't figure out how these casino apps make money on these free money promises? With Candy Crush Saga to get bonus boosters they make you watch commercials and the commercials are mostly Temu commercials or medicine commercials and they should create ad-free versions of the Candy Crush series. My parents also play Royal Match and it is completely ad-free. But why gaming apps with commercials are popular i'll never know why
