Who plans to try to stay at BLT when it first opens ?

I ahve a room booked for the last weekend in September at AKV's but I REALLY want to try out BLT just this once cuz it will be just me and DD12 instead of me and 5 others ! What do you think my chances are of getting a MK view studio for the last weekend in September ?? I mean, If I don't get it, then I'll stay where I am am since I have concierge booked and would only trade it for a MK view.

Does anyone know what is the exact date we can call in Marhc to try to book ?

BLT owners will be able to call on 3/1/2009 and non owners can call on 3/15/2009 for reservations with a check-in date of 9/1/2009 and after.

I will be trying for maybe a late Sept stay....I think the first year it's opened may be the easiest to book because the resort won't be sold out ? I don't know....just guessing here, but once it sells out, I would think there will be lots more competition to get in at the 7 month mark because of home resort advantage. So the first year might be the easiest ?

I also have AKV concierge booked, but just for that last Friday in September, and then going to BCV for 2 nights. I am tempted to try, but just for the Friday night...won't give up BCV for F&W.

If we get the DP's then we're going to use those in Sept/Oct and try to get BLT for Dec. If we dont' get the DP's then we'll do BLT in Sept/Oct.

don't think this has ever happened.

once MS starts to take reservations (and this does not happen until March) it is generally a done deal.

but there is a lot of time between now and March. they could and would change the date before MS started to take reservations.

As fast as BLT is being built, I don't think you have to worry. At the pace it's going up, I'd be surprised if they didn't finish BEFORE September. I thought it was a nice touch while on the monorail as I passed through the Contemporary on Saturday, the recording said something about "We are now approaching BLT".

If I was going to book at BLT, I would give it a few months so that all the bugs can be worked out of the system. New staff, new building, new restaurants.....all adds up to unforseen problems in the begining. By End of Nov, early Dec I would book.

I will be renting mine next year, but will be trying to get December first and foremost. Then I might try for November (Thanksgiving week).

We are definitely going in BLT in 2009, just haven't decided when. We went to MNSSHP last year the 2nd week in September and had a total blast! So, we'll use our points either then, or possibly the week of Thanksgiving or the week after Christmas - haven't decided yet, but whatever we do IT WILL BE MK VIEW! I have been waiting too long for this!!!

It opens in Sept. and we do not vacation while DS is in school, so our attempts to "get in" will have to wait for a school holiday of some sort or the following summer.....
