Who listens to Disney theme park music?

My favorites are the Epcot entrance loop (which inlcudes some cues from various Epcot attractions), the Innoventions background loop, the Fountain of Nations loop, and the Soarin' queue loop (which is entirely made up of cues from various movies).

Can you tell what my favorite park is?

I also love the score from POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl, which is now also used as the area music outside the ride itself at WDW. I am a collector of movie scores, and this is one of my favorites.

Fab info on this thread! I had no idea live 365 had so much park music. Love it!

I am also delighted to know I am not the only one who is insane and listens to disney music nearly all the time. Co-workers make fun of me because i've ripped all my park music to my pc at work and listen to it frequently. Now I know I am not alone!!:rotfl2:

I don't think it ruins the trip in any way. I love being able to sing along when I am at wdw because I've listened to the music ad nauseum at home! Actually, i love listening to the music even more right after we've gotten home after a wdw trip. I am usually a bit depressed after my trip ends, and the music just takes you right back into all the magic! pixiedust:

I love listening to live365 at work and home.:surfweb:
It is reassuring to know I am not alone. It takes me to my "happy place" when I hear the music. I really love hearing the music for Soarin'. I just love that music. When my DS & DD listen we have fun guessing which ride or which park music is playing:thumbsup2
I don't think it will take away from any kind of experience when you actually go to the WDW - it only makes you want to be there NOW - on Soarin' or walking through EPCOT and hearing that music - in person:cool1:

I don't think listening to Disney music all the time takes away from the magic, but thats JMO. I have some of the park cd's on my Ipod and I tune into live 365 too. ;)

I don't think it detracts from enjoyment to know the songs. I think it enhances it. I have differnt genres on my iPod for "Disney" and "Disney Parks." When I want to hear park music, I want PARK music!

The only things I listen to on a regular basis are "Main St. USA (Welcome Medley)" and the music from Illuminations and Soarin. I'm not fond enough of the rest of it to hear it all the time. ETA: I listen to the Animal Kingdom music a lot. I forgot it was from a Disney park...but I have a lot of African music, I like that sort of thing.

I do wish I could get the music they play at the Polynesian's quiet pool and in the Wilderness Lodge's lobby. If anyone knows some black market place I could get that, please PM me.

The rest of it I listen to the stuff I like in spurts, especially the music from the France movie, Epcot's Welcome Medley, "It's Tough to be a Bug" and "One Little Spark" (I like "One Little Spark", sue me.)

I like DIS radio and the rest of them because I can hear things I don't have and "Remember the Magic." :) Like all radio, I don't enjoy it when something I don't like comes on (especially that banging crap from Test Track) and I want to change the channel...but I can't do that easily so I'm stuck with listening to it or turning it off. That's the problem with that.

I never got a huge kick out of hearing the monorail announcement in English or Spanish, but listening to it over and over again would kind of annoy me.

i listen to park music a lot-my husband thinks im crazy!
i dont think it takes away the magic,it gets you excited for your next trip.
it makes me feel a bit sad right now though because we dont have a trip planned.we wont be going for at least a couple of years til our little boy is older.:sad2:

How do I get to disradio? to listen to disney world songs?
Scroll up to the top of this page. Under the first section with the Tour Guide Mike crap (and its links) are other links. Click on "The DIS Discussion Forums - DISboards.com" and you'll see a big, black box with a yellow, oval center that says, "DIS radio." Click there. :)

I've been listening to Park music for the last couple of years and have found that it actually adds to the magic when we get to the parks - I now recognise the tunes in the background music that plays throughout the parks and before I hardly noticed it. My husband does draw the line though when I recite the words in the Haunter Mansion along with the Ghost Host :rotfl:

And what's wrong with that??? :rotfl: Me and DD do this all the time, you mean it isn't normal??

Oh wow! I've been listening to Live365.com for a long time now but I had no idea about Subsonicradio! That site is amazing, thanks so much for the link! As for the original question, I don't think I'll ever get tired of listening to Disney park music and ambiance. I could probably live in the parks themselves quite happily. The VIP membership for live365 is very much worthwhile by the way. Those ads are horrible and I know they make it that way so that you will buy a membership, but you also get access to some very good stations that you can't listen to with a free account.

I don't think it takes away from the magic. My mom won't listen to the theme park music though, she thinks it will. But I've been listening to it for a long time now, and it's still just as exciting to hear it in the actual parks. I think when you're listening to it on your computer, it's nothing like listening to it in the parks.

I did not know about Subsonic either, can't wait to check that out. I do listen to 365 @ home.

We bought the CD that has Boo to You on it last October and have listnend to it almost every day since!!

My 4 year old dd knows all the words!!

It doesn't ruin any magic for us, just makes us want to be there even more and that is very hard right now when we don't have a trip planned :sad1:

well, my husband bought the 5 cd pack and put them on his iPod. He listens to them daily, 5 days a week while at work. (and to think that he wasn't real hyped about going to Disney last year.........his first ever trip to Disney.......now.....he is the one that booked our trip again for this Thanksgiving!!)

Love Sorcerer Radio in the evening . . . helps me chill out from a stressful day.

listening right now to the dis. i also do live365. i can't at work, since i get a lot of calls sometimes and just need to be able to hear. but i do at home quite often and have a lot of music burned on CD/ipod too.

Dh thinks it is silly that i listen to park music. lol:rotfl2: :thumbsup2 but that's okay, i think his world of warcraft hobby is silly too (he is 36). :rotfl:

I listen to dtuneslive.com if you subscribe you can request music.

Thanks for this thread since I now have discovered 365. But here's the question, where do they get this music, and why can't or where can I get these neat tracks and loops, etc. I know these stations are not run by Disney, so where do they get them?

My DS - 7yrs and I have to pretend to "sword fight" when we go by the POTC ride and hear that music:)
One of my Christmas presents last year was the POTC At World's End Soundtrack CD. I love the Pirates music.
