who knows the best strategy to book a reservation over xmas

from dec 21-jan. 2 , leaving on the 3rd. 13 days. What or When would be the best time to book this and how, and how many phone calls. Since xmas is so popular, you may schedule a week say, dec 14-20 then change it to the 20-27, then another call for rest of the days. Do you make one earlier and reschedule it since this is faster than a new booking? This small amount of time may make a difference with getting the holidays? Any great ideas. I was thinking about this in relation to all resorts but also hawaii, which may be the weekend resort of the california dvc members, especially for xmas and new years.

I would call MS and ask them how it would be best to be done as the booking poilicy just changed yesterday. There is much confusion as to exactly how it works because DVC implimented this change prior to telling anyone it was changing.

Reservation Booking Enhancement
Thanks to a recent service enhancement, Members may now place a single phone call to request a full reservation of as many as seven-nights beginning on the first day of their booking window (11 months before check-in at your Home Resort or seven months before check-in at other Disney Vacation Club Resorts). As a result of this enhancement, waitlists are now available only for the full length of stay.

You will definately need to use the 11 month rule at your home resort for certain with those dates as this is the higest demand season at wdw/dvc. When exactly you will need to call is what you will need to find out.
