Anne Hathaway, Kate Winslet and Stockard Channing always seem to do a good job in their roles.
Colin Firth, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Ryan Gosling, Leo Dicaprio, Ryan Philppe(sp?) and of course DeNiro always seem to hit the mark.
If you include those who have retired or passed on I'd have to say Ida Lupino, Irene Dunne, Maureen O'Hara and of course Mr. Jimmy Stewart.
Jimmy Stewart. Great actor, great man. How many Hollywood types enlist, get rejected then try enlisting again to fight for their country? The man had more character in his pinky then most.
I have to agree with Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
An interesting thing about Phillip Seymour Hoffman - One of the websites I frequent is the Crazy Days and Nights one. It's where "blind items" are posted about certain actors and actresses - usually it's VERY juicy gossip but they don't give you the names, and everyone is trying to guess who the gossip is about. Months ago there was an item about an A list actor who is legally blind, but no one outside the industry knows about it, as he wants to keep it a secret, so they work around it in the films he does. The majority guessed that it was Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I watched him in "Pirate Radio" and think they may have been right. On the website they do reveals twice a year - 4th of July and Christmas - I'm hoping this one is revealed.
