We leave in 3 days and this is the first time we will have been there in March. We normally go late Aug/Sept and it is easy to pack. But this high of low 80's and lows in 60's has me wondering. We open parks and most days, take mid-day breaks and do back at night.

Do you wear layers and hold the extras when it gets warm or do you just go in cold waiting for mid-day sun?

Last year when I was there in the first week in April, I wore a light sweater in and put it in my bag after I warmed up then had it to put back on when it got cooler. I carry either a see through small plastic backpack that will hold a sweater, a poncho, an umbrella, my wallet, my glasses and a water bottle or a crossbody that will hold a poncho folded really small, my wallet and glasses and then just tie the sweater around the strap of the crossbody. To tell you the truth, I did not take my sweater off until mid-afternoon but I'm from the south so until it's in the 80s I'm cold. I never, ever, never, ever, never, ever go to any of the parks without a poncho. You just never know when those pop up showers are going to happen.

I'm leaving in 3 days also. From what I've seen in forecasts, its supposed to get in the high 70's/low 80's most days, but also notice that it gets quite cool at night.

What I'll do is head to the parks with t-shirt and shorts (It'll be a little cool at the start of a day, but I'll put up with it), but when I go back at night I'll bring a sweatshirt, or at least leave it in the car.

Also, I am coming from Maryland and it has been a cold winter. I keep pulling out tank tops and shorts and thinking, is this right? Am I over estimating what 80 feels like when it is the high. We are a family of 4 and I think we are bringing the umbrella stroller for the 5yr old, just to hold our extra layers. She wants no parts of it.

That is what I am thinking too. All the brisk walking to get to rides I don't have FP for will warm me up! :bounce:

we live an hour and a half south of WDW and were just there 3/7-3/14 the first 2 days we needed sweatshirts, but the rest of the week was high 80's to 90!

It's hot right now. Hot. And sunny. Very sunny - you need sunscreen - broad spectum and plant based (I like Badger). Screw layers, it's hot. I like sweaters for indoors since AC gets cranked up high here. Bring 1 pair jeans/whatever your choice of long pant. Bring shorts if that's how you go. I look awful in shorts, so I bring skirts. If you need it, bring glide for the inside of your thighs or any "hot spots" that you might get. Bring good shoes. I made the mistake of wearing my cute wedge sandals this weekend at DTD. Stupid me.

Did I mention bring sunscreen? Cause if you don't bring anything else - BRING THAT!! Oh, and bring a hat - whatever style you like. Myself, I like broad brimmed floppy 70's awesome straw hats. If you wear a baseball style hat, please sunscreen up the back of your neck. You will thank yourself for that. Sunscreen places that everyone forgets: ears, neck (all of it) front of chest, top of feet, back of thigh and shin, hands, and back of arm. Sunscreen for babies - basically just dip them in sunscreen since they can burn so easily. Zinc sunscreen is the best, I think.

Anyway, that's what would be on my list.

I can second that. We just left Friday, and it was pleasant until about noon every day, then it was hot. You won't need any layers unless there is a cool snap. Pack sunglasses and sunscreen.

I live in the area. I often let the dog out in the middle of the night. The past week, it has not been cold during the night. It has been quite warm during the day.

There's no need for layers. It's hot down here. Feels good in the early morning but then it's warm by about 8-9am.

Also here now, and it's HOT! Shorts and t-shirts for everyone. If you'll be out very early or very late you might want a very light jacket, but we haven't needed them at all.

I would say a light sweater if you are sensitive to air conditioning in the restaurants or on rides, but definitely not for outdoors. Low 80's in Florida is hot and humid. You won't need it outside, I can promise!

Forget about what the weather was here last week. We recently went over the hump and summer is happening. I think cold weather is behind us until November. But a sweater or a light jacket in the morning might be needed.

At 7am and 60 degrees it feels hot? Is it because of the humidity?

Yes the humidity makes it a lot worse. Early mornings are bearable, but with humidity and it feeling in the mid to high 90's, it's brutal.

That's why we normally go in the morning, back to hotel around noon, then back out when the temperature goes down. Wish winter down here lasted a little longer than a couple weeks lol

Thanks, and wow!
