Who is the Rarest Character to have a photo/Meet & Greet with?

We haven't been since late 2006 when we were ecstatic to come across Lightning McQueen and Mater. Do they bring them out often? I'd like to find them again. :goodvibes And unfortunately we saw Mike and Sully from afar and didn't get pix w/ them. Now that the Laugh Floor is open, do they bring them out more?

lgithing McQueen and Mater are in HS where AL's Toy Barn use to be (aroudn the corner from the exit of Muppet 3D)

I do believe Monsters Inc has there own spot now. It's in HS across from abc commissary. I do believe I'm correct on this one, I know i"m correct on the other one though LOL

THANKS! Are they there on permanent display (Like Herbie) or do they bring them out like regular characters?

Maybe we'll try to get to MGM (I'm still going to call it that!;) ) on our short stint this trip before the cruise. :goodvibes

I saw Frollo back in 2004 at the now Hollywood Studios. I would love to see characters from The Emperor's New Groove! I love Piglet and think he used to be quite common but I never see him outside of the Crystal Palace...wait, I did see him at the Pooh meet and greet at the Animal Kingdom last year. Anyone seen him anywhere else?

I remember when The Hunchback movie came out and I saw all the characters out and about but back then I didn't care about autographs:scared1:

For our upcoming trip in April I want to make my own autograph book for the kids and Hercules would be great if I found him. DS4 loves that movie.
But I am not holding up hopes of finding him.

We did get Chip&Dale,Daisy Duck and Rafiki. They were everywhere when we were there during Easter break. We also saw Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland.

The Fairy Godmother is at the dinner for CRT, however she does not sign autographs but you will receive a card already signed by her to put in your book.

About 3 years ago we saw Rabbit in UK and were very excited as it was the only time!

Looking at the pics over the years working on an autograph book, we also have a picture of Thumper (about 6 years ago based on DS age at the time), Villians at the MNSSHP, Snow white with all 7 dwarves at same, Launchpad also about 6 years ago. Have some also old ones with White Rabbit.

Recently at DHS Animation saw Jafar, the Queen, Sheriff of Nottingham, Prince John, Friar Tuck. I'm sure there are more. I have a book for my son of 'all the charactes I've seen in my whole life'.

they are like regular characters, they come out at a certain time.

Has anyone ever seen Jessica Rabbit? I would love to see a pic!

We had Mary Poppins and Bert at a small private breakfast and they were so much fun. The kids got to spend about 30 minutes with Bert's antics and Ms. Poppins manners. Those photos are priceless to me. :wizard:

Also...has anyone ever gotten a pic of Tarzan?

The one picture I would love to have is when Brer Bear and Brer Fox have gotten on Splash Mtn and road the ride with some very lucky riders!
bolding is mine...
We saw Tarzan more than once just outside of the entrance to AK. We stopped and got 'autos' and pics when it was both Tarzan and Jane. We asked to get pics w/ both and then w/ just Tarzan. :faint:

A CM told me that they won't say exactly who will be where in case someone calls in sick. For example, they only have 3 Snow Whites. So sometimes you will see her in Germany with Dopey but if one calls in sick, then Snow White has to go to the MK. So they just have spots on the maps where "characters" will be without stating who. I usually ask the handlers who else will be around later or in other areas in the park. Some CM will answer you. Others (I think newer ones) don't really know or know how to find out.

Thanks for this information!

The Sherrif of Nottingham was out by the dancing water fountains in Epcot this morning. We also saw Marie there a few days ago.

I think the rarest characters at the moment include Rabbit, Darkwing Duck, Mr. Walrus, the 6 Dwarves besides Dopey, Prince Eric, Snow Prince, and others.

Marie is another example. she's rare now, but rumored to be very common beginning later this year
This is the one character that my DD9 wants to meet. She has all kinds of t-shirts and stuffed toys of Marie. The child is nuts for Marie! I have my fingers crossed that we find her this year in September. It would be a great boost for a girl who did not make the Travel Fastpitch team this year (too many bigger girls trying out)

haha I have a thread like this going on over at the college boards. I'm quite nostalgic with my choices.

I would say the two rarest GROUPS of characters that I'd like to meet are anyone from Disney Afternoons and anyone from the Muppets. The Ninja Turtles and the Dinosaurs are two that I'm sure will never make an appearance again but a boy can dream, can't he? These pictures are not mine.

Bonkers D. Bobcat from Bonkers (alvarez parea's flickr)

I'm too lazy to search for the rest of the pictures but ones that I know exist that I would love to meet (or meet again) :

Rebecca Baloo (pilot outfit) and King Louie (wore a hawaiian shirt) from Talespin

Goliath from Gargoyles

Darkwing Duck and Launchpad McQuack from Darkwing Duck

Gadget, Monterey Jack, Chip (wearing leather jacket and hat) and Dale (wearing flowery pattern shirt) from Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers

Scrooge, Huey, Duey, Louie from Ducktales.

Gummi Bears, Doug (from Doug)

Anyone know if more of this kind of thing exist and where in the world they are?

It makes me sad to think of characters being retired :(

We have seen Marie a few times in EPCOT across from the perfume store in France.

We lucked out about 5 years ago in DHS (then MGM) and saw the old hag from Sleeping Beauty. That was the first and only time in all of our trips.

I have been trying to meet Flik for years, we always seem to just miss him. Even at DL. My ds would love to meet S. Mickey. We will find him in December!

We did meet all the chipmunks together once though!

We have met Darkwing, Launchpad, and Max.

Up until a couple of years ago our "holy grail" of characters was Jiminey-we found him at MK one morning and about flipped there was no one waiting for him and we got some very good pics, now that I know he's out over at AK we will be sure to get some more pics.

I finally got my pic of Snow White and all 7 dwarves at MNSSHP a couple of years ago, the line was long and I didn't care I waited and it's one of my favorite pics of my 12 trips.

We have also met the Mayor of Main St in Magic Kingdom, he was very nice, before that I never knew he existed and have never seen him since :confused3

Every year we look for Sora at MNSSHP with no luck. I didn't know that the Gargoyles came out either until this thread, DS would love that!

Where can you find the Queen of Hearts? Is she considered rare?

I have seen her most often at MNSSHP on the trail between Toon Town and Space Mountain.

We were once having ice cream in Fantasyland and she just popped up at our table and was lurking around, not really posing for pics just visiting different tables. It was in February and a slow slow day at MK, she was really into her character and very funny.

we found Marie in Epcot (Nov 28, 2008) when we were walking through Innoventions East. We were taking a short cut from Test track to Soarin.
I think she is a fixture in Epcot though. Someone said they saw her in France.

tip on character hunting:

Mom and I were walking through Showcase last year and saw Snow White we always see Snow White so we weren't interested in waiting on line (I know I know and yes she's my moms favorite). My mom said to me I wish I could see Dopey (this is moms favorite of the favorite characters). So I asked the CM where and when Dopey will be. She said he is coming out next in about 15 minutes. I said cool where's the line going to be. She said there and pointed to a spot. As I was moving to the spot I'd say here here here. She'd say no no no no STOP. I said to the lady you are NOT changing the spot are you because I'm NOT moving from this spot. She said NO LOL. I waited in THAT spot for 15-20 minutes for my mothers love to show up.

Anyway my tip is ask the CM by the character who is next, when or where will you be able to see them.

Has anyone mentioned Gideon from Pinocchio? I got my pic with him back in 2007 by the Goofy Statue on Town Square in MK. Pinocchio isn't my fav. Disney movie and I had only seen it once or twice as a child so I had to ask who the character was.

I just re-watched Pinocchio this week and while Gideon is the more comic of the villainous duo, his actions are pretty despicable. Selling kids? Wow. Disney doesn't sell him as a villain, but he definitely is.

Anyway, that's the only time I've ever seen in 15+ trips.
