Who is the Rarest Character to have a photo/Meet & Greet with?

I may be wrong here (total n00b, first ever post, imagine a timid voice and downcast eyes) but I'd think the characters representing the newest movie in the Animation Building at HS would have the potential to be the rarest.

In 2007 I missed seeing Remy and Emile there by a matter of weeks. Now they've vanished, with no current plans to return.

In May this year I was lucky enough to see Bolt and Rhino there (sadly no Mittens). Now they've vanished, with no currrent plans to return.

I'm hoping the Up characters will still be there in December so I can meet them (haven't seen the film yet since it's not out here until mid October, so don't know their names, sorry). When they leave that building/are replaced by a newer film's characters, there's a chance they'll vanish too, I'd imagine. So might be an idea to see them while you can. Although it doesn't sound like Tiana and co. are going to be in HS, so maybe the Up guys will get a good run.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that UP! charectors will make it 2 more weeks. I have to get my DH picture w/ Doug. He says so many of the same things Doug did in the movie.


I'd love to see the Hercules charectors again. We saw them in 2004 at MGM one day but that's been it and I didn't have time to get a pic or autograph. The charector finder someone posted the link to is great, I love checking when I got home to see if I met any rare ones.

Scrooge McDuck. I believe he's sometimes out for MVMCP, but we didn't manage to find him any time we've been to one of the parties.

historically, he's out all day during the holiday season, trading off with donald in fantasyland, not exclusive to MVMCP

We got pictures with Mr. Walrus from Alice in Wonderland in September 2007. That's the only time I have ever seen him.

We saw Cruella - rareish according to that link posted earlier and snow white with all her dwarfs and thought we would get them later we had too much to look at.

Although Seth doesn't like characters much and him meeting all the dwarfs would have sent him over the edge.

I'd love to see the Hercules characters too, especially Meg. Gotta love those sassy Disney girls. Esmeralda would make my day too, I'd just love to see her outfit.

As for uncommon characters I actually have seen, I have a photo of me when I was about 8 meeting Bianca from The Rescuers. I've never really seen anyone else post a picture or even mention meeting her before, so I'm guessing she's pretty damn rare.

We got a picture with snow white and all seven of the dwarfs at mickeys not so scary halloween party last year. We also got jimminy crickets autograph at animal kingdom.

We saw Brer Rabbit in 06 in Frontierland during the Hoe Down. I have a picture of DD dancing with him.

That is great to hear. That is one character I did want to see and take a picture with at MVMCP in December .

When we were in Disney in March we kept coming across characters that we had never seen before. I know they are more popular now, but my DH and I were in awe, maybe because it had been quite a few years since we last were at MK and and AK. The ones we got to see were
- Lady Tramaine and her two "Lovely" daughters ....they were our favorites, they really got into it with my DDs because they are both shy, but by the time we left my kids were cracking up.
- Peter Pan....we saw him after our Magical Family Tour....he was a surprise at the end.
- Pocohontas in MK
- Turk from Tarzan
- Jiminy Cricket at AK
- Alice in Wonderland AND with the White Rabbit....have seen Alice before but not the White Rabbit
- Chip and Dale on Main Street....they used to be all over the place, but now they are a rarity.

I've been searching for Sora, who is one of the main characters from the video game Kingdom Hearts... I've seen pics of him from a MNSSHP, but haven't seen him myself.

it's been several years since Sora was out, and i believe the last time was simply because of the release of the last Kingdom Hearts game. with a new one on the horizons (other than 358/2), it's possible he may return for it.

I'm not really sure how common this might be at WDW, but we saw Jack Skellington and Sally (from Nightmare before Christmas) at Disneyland last year (in October). They were over by the Haunted Mansion. They looked really cool! We were never able to get an autograph through.......the line got too long for them.

We also met Marie in May...she was so cute, but I always thought her to be rare.

I also agree with a previous poster, DD would LOVE to meet Panchito and Jose from the the 3 cabelleros, that was her absolute favorite ride this year (last year it was nemo)

We met Max at Disneyland last month.

Honestly, the rarest character is the one my DD's have their heart absolutely, positively set on finding any given trip! Last year it was Pocahontas. We followed every tip through every park before we FINALLY found her at Rafiki's Planet watch on our last day.

This year it is Mulan. We have the movie memorized. We are being Mulan for Halloween (both of them!). We spent 3 days in DLR last month...no Mulan. We are heading back to WDW next May...I know we will not rest on that trip until we have met Mulan!

We were at Disney last Jan and Feb and we saw Marie, Faiary Godmother, Chip, and Dale all over the place. Pocahontas was at the American pavillion along with Meeko. We saw the Evil Queen at Hollywood Studios in the Animation Bldg. We were so happy as we had never seen her and my first trip was back in the 70s.

We used to see all of the dwarfs but lately have only ever seen Dopey and Grumpy. About 7 or 8 years ago, we saw three together, so I have a cool picture. Back in the mid 90s we were very fortunate to have met most of the characters from the Hunchback show.

I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures.
