Who is the nicest TV star's you have met and who are the not so nice?

DD was participating in a benefit for Down syndrome last October. Jamie Foxx's sister, DeOndra Dixon who also has Down syndrome, was being honored. He accompanied his sister (who lives with him) to the benefit. The love between brother and sister was palatable.

Jamie Foxx is the most down to earth, nicest guy around. He could have played the big star and hung around the well-heeled guests, but he took special care to spend time with all the kids with Ds participating. He was just a really nice guy.

Quincy Jones also attended - fabulous guy, along with Jeff Probst. All of them were so giving of their time and attention to all our kids.

I met Colin Quinn at a book store in LaGuardia. I asked if I could take a picture, he was so sweet! Stupid me, I should have asked if I could get one with him.

I met Eddie Money at Holiday Inn. He was so so. Acted a little like I bothered him. He's the one that started the conversation. He asked where the bathrooms were. I asked for an autograph and he gave me a presigned head shot. He seemed like he might have been in a bad mood. Or he's a jerk.

He's always seemed like this. I mean, to have Ron Howard in his music video was really cool.

I hope Conan OBrian is nice. I have a mad crush on him.

I met Russell Crowe once, in Austin a few years ago when he was playing there with his band. Super, super nice guy!

Regis Phillban (spelling??? no idea) was a total jerk when we saw him twice...TAPING THE DISNEY PARADE NON THE LESS!!! Who can be a total JERK-WAD when they are at Disney World???? No idea. I thought it wasn't possible.

On the other hand, Kelly Rippa was extremely friendly and amazingly cool when we saw her once. It was almost like she was trying to make up for the jerk she had to be there with...

Hailey Jo Osment (another one??? Spelling, I have no clue) was extremely friendly. We rode the Animal kingdom safari with him and his family. All wonderful, kind people.

Met Molly Quinn from Castle at my niece's wedding two years ago. She wasn't stuck up and was just really, really sweet. She was like an average person enjoying the wedding reception, not pretentious or anything.

Met Lynda Carter years ago and well let's just say she really didn't want to give autographs but did. (She was at a stars tennis match and was there making an appearance and to give autographs)

I've met Martha Stewart a few times- very nice, talkative, and complimentary. Kelly Ripa was also very nice.

I was trying to decide if I should share my Martha story..
I grew up in the town where she lived and taped her show for some time. She was very entitled and disruptive to the community around her. (Regularly blocking traffic w/her trucks..)

She asked my HS select chorus to sing at her holiday party. We waited in the garage for awhile.. no food or drinks were offered. We sang and she was very unhappy w/the arrangement we wanted to stand in (she pictured us up and down the stairs but we couldn't hear each other and had always been in a semi-circle.. we had no adult with us). She was quite vocal about it.

We sang and were dismissed. Tons of amazing food everywhere.. we were HS students who sang for free. We were treated rudely, barely thanked, and we couldn't believe she didn't feed us anything. :sad1:

When we were in L.A. a few years ago, we went to a taping of Suite Life of Zach and Cody. My son met one of the twins after the show. He was really friendly. He chatted with my son, signed an autograph and took a picture with him...

Can't remember if that is Zach or Cody. However the other boy is definitely mine.

mine are more movie star/musician
Nice- Matt Dillon, Dom Deluise, Eric Clapton, Susan Lucci!!*rumored to have wiped my son's butt. so she gets the uber nice award from me.

NOT NICE- oh yes I'll name names....
Steven Sagal (HUGE JERK) David Hasselhoff- personable to people that he thinks may help him- not nice to the "help". Big mistake because the "help" will talk, and this goes back to my childhood- Gene Wilder.

I met Trace Adkins when he was staying at the hotel I worked at. He was very nice and friendly.

I met Captain & Tennille at Epcot (after a show) when I was a kid and remember them being super nice and spending a lot of time with me.

I used to have several run ins a year with Andie McDowell. Let's just say that I have a hard time stomaching her movies now because her characters DO NOT reflect how she behaved. Actually, it was more her sister, who is her assistant or something. Andie didn't really do or say anything to anyone, but the sister was RUDE! (I was working, not asking for autographs or anything-I was just doing my job)

That would be Zach (Dylan Sprouse). While they are twins, they aren't identical (became more apparent as they got older). No, I don't know them, but my daughter is a huge fan.

Nice- Jessica Capshaw, Mary McCormack, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Brenneman (Judging Amy, Private Practice)

Those were all fairly recent.

Cedars-Sinai and the surrounding area is a great place to see celebraties...haha

There have been a bunch more but a lot of the time I don't realize who it is until afterwards

The only one I can say I have met is Mike Seeger, Pete Seeger's brother. I actually danced with him, as he was at the same contra (folk) dance I was at, near Staunton, Virginia. Very nice man! He's also a great musician.

Nice-Mitchel Mosso and Steve Garvey.

Worst-Michael Phelps
