Who is the nicest TV star's you have met and who are the not so nice?

I'm ashamed to say. Does Ron Jeremy count? My husband worked as a director of sales at a Hilton in Kansas City Mo. We just moved to the city so we were staying in a suite until we found a house. He worked all day, and I stayed with our 3 kids then 1yr, 5, and 8. You would think I had it made at a Hilton, but taking care of 3 kids in one suite was alot of work. So I basically stayed in sweats with baby food on me all day and my hair in a pony.

One Friday night, I was putting the baby down, and my hubby called telling me to bring the camera and get downstairs to the lobby ASAP. I knew Harry Connick Jr was there, his tour bus was outside, so I knew I was gonna meet him. I scrambled, told the kids to watch a movie and mama would be right back, I grabbed my camera and rushed down to meet Harry. I get off the elevator, CROWDS of people flashes EVERYWHERE. I found my hubby, he was so excited he said, "Baby, you are not gonna believe who I just met, he's dying to meet you" His assistant took my camera to get a pic. Then I saw who he was talking about. RON JEREMY THE PORN STAR!!!!! He grabbed me and gave me a huge sweaty hug and a BIG kiss on the cheek. Complimented my husband on his choice in women, then with me in the middle, a pic was made. My hubby to the left of me grinning like an idiot and the porn star to the right looking totally drunk. My hubby grabbed the camera, looked at it and said, "Oh, Babe, we are getting so many copies of this pic!" I wanted to kill him. I went up stairs and washed my face and changed clothes. EWWWWWWWW!!!!!

I met Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) from Young and The Restless years ago. He was super sweet and very funny. I met Katie Holmes and Greg Rikkart from Dawson's Creek. Greg is now on Y&R so it was fun getting to know him. He was a sweetheart but Katie Holmes was a total ice queen, she was very snobby. Didn't like her at all.

I was working at a front desk of a hotel back in the 90's and Corbin Bernson (LA Law and Psych) walked in wanting a room. He paid cash, I gave him directions to a restaurant and he tipped me a $20

My favorite soap star called me on Wednesday. Michael Muhney (Adam Newman from Y&R) we spoke for 20 minutes, he's awesome and funny, totally made my week!

I haven't met many. But Tom Bergeron--what you see on camera is how he was like off camera!

We attended an AFV shoot at the Magic Kingdom and we were in an area where a small group was filming one of the scenes they pop in the middle of the show somewhere. In between takes--he was very friendly and even if a handler was ready to walk him off somewhere, he made sure that if you were near, that he spoke to you and let you take a picture.

We met Demi Lovato and for on camera (pics), she smiled, but in between she seemed irritated and annoyed. She had put her hand to her head and after some reflection, I figured she may have had a headache. Given what came about later--she was likely just extremely stressed and having personal issues. But I was kind of expecting Sonny demeanor--or any of her Disney channel demeanor...and we just didn't get it.

Didn't care for William Shatner.

Was flying back home to Philly via Pittsburgh when I was a kid and I was sitting in a section with a table where 2 rows face each other with members of the Pittsburgh Pirates. People kept coming up for their autograph and I just could not bring myself to ask for it. I just kept saying my parents would not believe me. So one of the guys--got all his buddies to give me autographs.

My parents were late picking me up--how nice of them. News Reporters were interviewing some of the players just outside the gate a bit after all the passengers had dispersed. I told my parents--and they did not believe me...so I said their they are and they gave me this and showed them the autographs.

They were a very nice baseball team even though I really didn't care much for baseball. It was still very very very neat. (I was 9 or 10 at the time.)

I've met several anime voice actors in person. Vic Mignogna, Todd Haberkorn, and J. Michael Tatum: all extremely nice and sweet and more than willing for autographs and pics.

Erik Estrada (CHiPS) came to the grocery store where I work buying shampoo, was nice enough to sign a piece of receipt paper for me and laughed when I told him that my parents would flip out when they heard who I met.

I just met Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) yesterday and he was also extremely sweet. And absolutely gorgeous! :lovestruc

Love it!!!:lmao:

I met Carly Simon many years ago on Marthas Vineyard and she was very sweet.

Oh, and I met Captain Feathersword from the Wiggles and he was very nice also!!! Hee Hee, my dd was excited about that one!!

(Shhh, I always thought Capt. F was cute!).

I've met Conan O'Brien and Andy Samberg from Saturday Night Live and both were really nice.

My cousin took an acting class taught by Alec Baldwin a few years back and apparently he was a great guy.

Also, not a TV star, but I met Alan Rickman earlier this year and he was a sweetheart.

Didn't actually "meet" her, but I once sat next to the actress Susan Saint James at a Los Angeles Kings hockey game about 20 years ago. She was with, I suppose, her husband and child. Just said hello to her and she said hello back. I guess she knew I recognized her.

See, I think so much of this may be what day you catch people on. Celebrities have bad days and good days just like everyone. I guess being celebrities maybe it's expected that they should be "on" all the time they are in public, but I think that would be impossible for anyone.

We met Demi Lovato and for on camera (pics), she smiled, but in between she seemed irritated and annoyed. When we met Demi she was lovely. She signed an autograph for my speechless dd, and since dd wasn't talking I told her that dd had been her for Halloween. Demi was pulled away by someone (management or handler), but she sought out dd later about 10 minutes later, took pictures with her and spent about 5 minutes (a lot given this was one a red carpet premiere with hundreds of people trying to talk to her) talking to dd, smiling and seeming very genuinely interested the whole time.

Another one I saw mentioned here was Adam Sandler. I know two people who met him. One thought he was great, another thought he was a huge jerk. :confused3 I like him, so I just like to think he was having a bad day that other day. ;)

Never really met any myself, but my DDIL is an actress (child star) and she says her absolute faves who treated her great on the sets were Walter Mathau (sp?) and Richard Attenborough.

Extremely nice: Donny Osmond and Walter Payton

Nice: Diahann Carroll, John Madden, Rick Monday (former Cub), Kenny Rogers

EXTREMELY Rude: McLean Stevenson from M*A*S*H. I had to sit in a meeting with him for FOUR HOURS while he treated me like crap.

Aaahhh Rick Monday, outfielder for the A's in the early 70's. I had a crush on him. Barry Manilow and his business associate Eric Borenstein-very nice. Was offered a job running the merchandising at concerts and I turned it down. Very stupid. Along the same lines Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann-very nice and helpful.

I've only seen tv/movie celebrities as I'm a gawker and can't approach them.
The only time I got up the nerve was with a local tv newcaster from channel 31/12 (for those in Sacramento), Nick Toma. Wowser is this guy HANDSOME. Saw him at the casino one night and went up to say hi. He had just done a piece on my friend's shop so had something to start off with.

Oh Paul McCartney was nice.

I've met Conan O'Brien and Andy Samberg from Saturday Night Live and both were really nice.

I am so glad to hear that about Andy Samberg and Alan Rickman!

Alan Rickman is one of my all time faves!
From Galaxy Quest to Dogma, Die Hard, Robin Hood...
He is BRILLIANT!

I think Dogma is my favorite role from him!

SO jealous!! I freaking love Alan Rickman. Total Rickamaniac

Last year for my birthday I got to meet Michael Emerson [AKA Ben Linus from Lost] He was sooooooooo nice and awesome and amazing! I'm a huge fan so that was the best gift the hubby could have got me. :love2:

I met Michael O'Leary from Guiding Light a couple of years ago and he was so nice. I was at a hotel in NH and was getting coffee in the restaurant. I went to put the cover on the cup and I spilled it every where. I knew that there was a guy on the other side of the little island but didn't notice who it was. So after I spilled the coffee, I heard a voice say "Oh, nice going!" I immediately said "Oh my gosh, did I get you?" and he said "No, just giving you a hard time!" When I looked up there stood "Rick Bauer" from Guiding Light!! I took a couple of gasps and said "I know you!!!" I gave him a big hug. My husband was a bit taken back!! I told him my mom would be down in a minute and she was going to die when she saw him. She and I had watch Guiding Light for years! This was about a month before the show went off the air. He actually told us how the show was going to end but we both thought he was kidding! Turns out he wasn't. He was so sweet and took a couple of pictures with us!! Love him!!

Years ago, DH and I rode the monorail at WDW with Dan Marino (QB for Miami Dolphins) and his family. He is soo tall and MUCH better looking than he appears on TV. :goodvibes We didn't approach him since he was with his family.

Another time at WDW, (EPCOT to be exact) Kelly Ripa passed me by Spaceship Earth. She was pushing a double stroller while her husband walked beside her. She was such a tiny thing!!

DSister used to work for a Hotel in NYC. She met many famous people but the one that sticks out in my mind was Florence Hendersen. DSister said she was a royal witch (substitute b for w)!!! It blew my mind that Carol Brady could be anything other than nice!!

I need to chime in about Robin Williams...
DBIL met him about 17 years ago while working. DBIL and DSister were getting married soon and DBIL got to talking to Robin Williams about their honeymoon. They planned to go to Prague. Robin Williams chatted with him about it and a few days later called him to recommend places to visit. DBIL said he couldn't have been nicer!! I guess everyone has bad and good days!!

Jerks...HUGE jerks: Chevy Chase, Tommy Mottola

I read a book about the history of Saturday Night Live and they interviewed cast members from the entire run of the show at that point. When asked who was the guest star they most disliked working with, they all said Chevy Chase!

DD was participating in a benefit for Down syndrome last October. Jamie Foxx's sister, DeOndra Dixon who also has Down syndrome, was being honored. He accompanied his sister (who lives with him) to the benefit. The love between brother and sister was palatable.

I think you mean palpable? :)

I'm so glad to hear good things about Alec Baldwin. I've heard he has anger issues, and there was that leaked phone message to his daughter... I'm relieved to hear he can be a nice guy because I love him SO much. :goodvibes
